Drowning in the Random. Why Not?

I blog-stalk Kellyry at Prove Real. Yesterday, she posted this on her blog and I laughed so hard, I just had to share:

If you can't read it, it says:
"Never Before Have So Many People with So Little to Say Said so Much to So Few"

It's funny cuz it's true! You can find more funny "motivational" posters at Despair, Inc. I promise you won't be disappointed. They are hilarious!
------------------------------------------
Fluffychicky gave me an award and tagged me for some more random info. Thank you, fluffy!

This blog invests and believes, the proximity. [meaning, that blogging makes us 'close' -being close through proxy]. They all are charmed with the blogs, where in the majority of its aims are to show the marvels and to do friendship; there are persons who are not interested when we give them a prize, and then they help to cut these bows; do we want that they are cut, or that they propagate? Then let’s try to give more attention to them! So with this prize we must deliver it to 8 bloggers that in turn must make the same thing and put this text.

Dude. I'm just glad I won this award because of the description! Never before has a literal translation from a different language into English caused me so much joy. And confusion. But we'll focus on the joy because it's kinder. But pardon me while I laugh a little...
I shall bestow this award to the following 8 bloggers:
Michelle, Janelle, Cardalls, Mother of the Wild Boys, Rachel (Fisher), Julie A, madhousewife and Bythelbs.

Now for the Random-ness:

These tags are complicated, have you noticed? I mean, why do I have to leave a comment on the tagged person's blog? If they read my blog, won't they know they're tagged? And why would I want to tag somebody who doesn't read my blog?
Yeah, yeah. I'm a whiner. Whine, whine, whine...
Anyway, here's 7 MORE random facts about me. Because we're drowning in the random here, kiddos! And why wouldn't you want to know more about me?

1. I bite my fingernails. And not like the gnawing on the nub type --just the nervous, bite and tear kind. As a pianist, it's made it easier, though. Not sayin' I'm glad I do it, it's just...easier. But it's a nasty habit and none of you should do it! So, stop now!
2. Brandon and I will be sitting in the same room and will have entire conversations via our laptops using IM.
3. I can't wait to get Christmas decorations up (I have to restrain myself until after Thanksgiving), but then I can't wait to take them down (they're gone before New Year's).
4. I hate celery. Hate it. Yuck.
5. I almost learned French and Italian. The reasons I didn't learn either is because I stopped taking French in high school so I could take AP music theory (for 4 years, baby!), and I stopped teaching myself Italian because I had another baby (it was #3). But I can count to 10 in FOUR languages! I know. It's an amazing skill.
6. I never play the foot pedals when I play the Organ. I totally cheat and nobody can tell.
7. I've been 5'10" since I was 14 years old. Okay, okay, I'm actually 5'9 3/4". It's still pretty tall!

Seven people I would like to tag for this Random Meme:
The first seven people who leave a comment. Yes! That works! I'm totally messing up the system, people, but I don't mind. And if you're not leaving a comment because you're one of the first seven, than shame on you! Shame, shame, shame.

I love randomness. And what better way to put off the necessary than with useless information that I MUST now post about, so the 3 people who read my blog can know much more than they ever knew they wanted to know about me.

From now on, I'm only accepting web awards that are in English. Could some english speaking Graphic Designers please create some award widgets that we could pass around to each other? So far I have Brillante, Pico de Artiste and the Proximidade awards. Could someone please lend me a translater with my awards?

Thank you for thinking of me Cheryl. I will do this meme tomorrow.

I heart that Proximidade award. It is awesome.

I was waiting to be the 7th comment so I wouldn't feel obligated to do the meme.

Where are all these awards coming from? I feel like I'm at an ALMA ceremony and any moment now Eva Longoria is going to pop out from behind one of those widgets.

I'm the same way with the Christmas decorations. Well, with the taking down of the Christmas decorations. I actually refuse to put up the decorations until Dec 1 (I feel like Thanksgiving gets the shaft being stuck in between Halloween and Christmas) and then I have to take them down the day after Christmas. We also take our Christmas lights down very shortly after New Years. I have several neighbors who still have their lights up. Drives me nuts.

Love the poster! So true.
Congrats on the award. isn't Fluffy great? I'm with you on the celery and I have been fighting the urge to play Christmas music and put up lights. Instead I got out the fall decorations yesterday but I can't wait to get rid of them all ready!

Thanks for the award...I'm confused and joyful about it too!

And I'll work on the Meme, I think I'm commenter #6, so I'll bite the bullet and work on writing 7 random things about me. Check it out, probably tomorrow.

Ha ha, tricked you guys...I'm still the 6th commenter! :D

Anyway, I posted my random facts on my new public site...you can see it at: www.motherofthewildboys.blogspot.com

Now come on people, somebody's gotta buck up and be the 7th commenter!

Oh I love that poster...and Hello! Love that translation. I'm still trying to figure out what it really means. Oh, I hope this won't keep me awake tonight. ;)

And...still loving the Random-ness...

:)

I really really don't get the award and I'm not obligated to post something on my blog that I don't understand right? I reserve my American right to have a non-bilingual, but non-predjudicial blog. LOL!@

I think not knowing what the award really means is half of the fun! :)

I figure if I get some strange award, I have to pass it on, because there is no way that I am going to be the only person with it. I suffer, then everyone suffers. :)

TaLaisa-
Randomness rules, this is true!

Janelle-
Next time, I will provide a translator for you! I promise. :)

mad-
Yay! I'm glad you like it.

bythelbs-
Ha! You commented. You have to do it. Or you will be shamed. Shamed!
Our neighbor still has their Christmas lights up. Yeah, it's annoying.

Amanda-
Hooray! My celery-hating buddy. Glad I'm not alone!

Mother-
I checked it out. And loved it. As usual. :)

Leslie-
I know! I still don't know what it means, either.

Cardalls-
No obligations whatsoever. :)

Fluffy-
Thank you for making us all suffer. You are the queen of commiserating! All hail Fluffy! ;)

Love that poster!

I have no idea what that award means....:)

Stop biting your nails!! I did as a kid and then at 11 just decided I didn't want nubs for nails anymore and stopped. I think that was my one and only example of when I said I was going to stop doing something and I actually did. LOL

I love the posters at despair.com. (Does that mean I'm a cynic or something?) So many of them apply to a writers life.

Cheryl, I just found your blog from your comment on Segullah. I commented right after you and read your comment. I thought, that sounds like my old friend Cheryl from BYU so I clicked on your link and I was right... I scrolled quick through your blog and when I saw the pictures of your kids I knew I had the right Cheryl. Your oldest looks so much like you!! Anyway, I don't know if you'll even remember me but I wanted to say hi. Hope you're doing well! ~Emily

Flip flop-
Dude. I have tried so many times to stop! I promise I've tried...

Janette-
What!? I'm not even a "real" author yet and already I'm doomed for despair? Yeah. That sounds about right. :)

Alison-
I should have given it to you! In fact, consider yourself a recipient. I'm totally serious. Take it!

Em-
I left a comment over at your blog, but HOORAY! Of course I remember you! How could I not? I'm so glad you found me. :)
