The Biggest Loser: Final Week!

I haven't lost any more weight since last week.
But I'm okay with it.

When I started this thing back in January I weighed 197.6 pounds. I now weigh around 182. Or so. That's pretty good! I'm dang proud of myself.

Thoughts about the show:
A power outage in our neighborhood messed up my DVR, so I only got to see the last 40 minutes or so of the show. Hooray for Mike! But I must say, any of the three winning would have made me happy. I'm glad Koli won the runner-up prize, but he was too thin. Way too thin. Bulk up a bit, buddy!
I wish I could have seen all the other contestants come out. Did they all look amazing? I better go to the website and see, I guess.

Thoughts about weight loss:
It ain't over! I'm gonna keep trying. 172 is my goal, and I'm gonna get there eventually. I may even tell you about it when I do.

For the record, I'm still eating whole foods. I'm going mostly organic. I'm staying away from processed and synthetic foods in any form.
But not all the time.
I'm all about moderation, and going completely organic/whole at this point isn't logical. I'm making the transition, though. And it feels fantastic!

American Idol:
Crystal Bowersox should win. Like I said she should back in the top 24. Her last song was phenomenal!

LOST finale. Again: Go read this. It's EXACTLY how I feel about it. In every way. I don't care if it was all mushy and feel-good. It was a cop-out and I'm still mad about it. Tomorrow I won't be anymore. Because it's just a TV show. Who cares about TV shows? Obviously, I do.

Quote of the day:

I love what Elder Orson F. Whitney once said: "The spirit of the gospel is optimistic; it trusts in God and looks on the bright side of things. The opposite or pessimistic spirit drags men down and away from God, looks on the dark side, murmurs, complains, and is slow to yield obedience." We should honor the Savior's declaration to "be of good cheer." (Indeed, it seems to me we may be more guilty of breaking that commandment than almost any other!) Speak hopefully. Speak encouragingly, including about yourself. Try not to complain and moan incessantly. As someone once said, "Even in the golden age of civilization someone undoubtedly grumbled that everything looked too yellow."

~Elder Jeffrey R. Holland, April 2007

Way to go on the weight loss, Cheryl. That's awesome!

I was surprised that Mike won - I really thought that Ashley would win. Koli lost 53% or something like that - he lost a lot more than everyone else. I think Mike was 48% or something. (We're dorks and we keep track of percentages.)

Love the quote. :)

You're my hero.

So much so that I might even call you today. But don't count on it.)

I loved the ending of Biggest Loser. I cried like a baby. His story is so inspiring!

I wanted Sam to put a ring on Stephanie's finger. Dang! I wonder if NBC would've helped pay if he'd done it on their show.

ps-I have biggest loser on my DVR and chocolate/coconut heaven in my freezer. Know what I'm sayin'?

I lost a pound. Down to 187.5, 9 pounds from where I started. Which is okay, not fantastic like I was wanting but it's down and not up.

And I checked and my Sunflower market did NOT have that larry and luna's heaven in a cup. Harmon's does, in their 'healthier' wood floor section.

Way to go on the huge loss! I can't wait to see pictures of your garden!!

For my final weigh in....I'm totally stuck at 150, down 22 pounds. I've been here for two months. I would like to get down to at least 146 to be in the "healthy" bmi range but my body likes it here. I'm already in a size 6 pant and small shirt. It's hard for me to believe I'm still "overweight"!
