The Biggest Loser: Weeks 6 and 7

Last week, I weighed this:

Yeah, I gained 1.7 pounds. Yuck.
But then, last night, I weighed in at 190.7! (yeah, no picture. I got home late because of book club and so I weighed in really quick and forgot to take a picture. Sorry!)
That means I lost 2.7 pounds! How did this happen? I absolutely have no idea. My exercising was bad, my eating was bad, and in fact, the only explanation I have is this:
My baby is literally sucking the life out of me.
That could do it.
But what's great is that since week one, I have lost a total of 6.9 pounds. Woot-woot!

Anyway, here is Brandon last week:

He lost 2 pounds that week! But then he weighed in at WW yesterday and gained about 1/2 pound. That's still pretty dang good. In total, he has lost about 7 pounds! Seven pounds in seven weeks is good. Very good.

Now Marianne and TaLaisa have been pretty good about sending in pictures, and even though I'm not showing them this week, just know they are good about reporting to me. But I'll let them do it this time in the comments, since we've had two weeks to report.

Thoughts on the Show:
Ummm...I forgot what happened last week. Olympics, right?
And was there one last night? I'm thinking not because of the Olympics. Maybe I should actually find out. Hmmm....

Thoughts on Weight Loss:
*I found this amazing quote in Brandon's weight watcher's take-home-thingy-thing and I'm going to print out in big letters and tape everywhere in my house:

NOTHING TASTES AS GOOD AS BEING THIN FEELS

Ain't that the truth!
*Why is it so hard for me to exercise alone? Do any of you exercise alone? How do you do it? How is it possible? I think I'm just this crazy-social-being who craves socialization and needs it. Plus, exercising is kind of boring. Conversation makes it fun!

Okay, dear reader! Your turn. Did you lose weight this week? Gain? How much have you gained or lost in the last 7 weeks? What are you going to do to be successful this week? Do you realize how much I admire you for doing this?
Love you all!

I am still at 191.5 (gain?loss?stayed the same? I can't remember).

I'm thinking I stayed the same and am okay with that. We went to Vegas and I didn't gain.

I could cry. My Plantar Fascitis is back. With vengeance. Which means I'm going to have to really, really, really clean up my eating because my exercising will be limited to cycling.

I think one of my problems is that I disagree (or just can't remember skinny that well) with that quote. Just the other day I told my SIL that I was pretty sure that Fresh-baked French Bread tastes better than skinny. BUT, keeping track of my diet/calories in livestrong is helping me keep eating in check even if I do have a slice or two of French Bread. Working on moderation, basically.

Still, down 1.6 over the last 3 weeks (my scale was out the week before) - but really over the last week because I was just about the same +/- I have been day to day forever. The 197.4 that I saw on the scale today is lower than I've been without having the flu in a very long time.

Girl Scout cookies came in yesterday and I haven't had even one yet. Planning my calories so I can have one after dinner.

I exercise alone most of the time, I have a treadmill and bike in front of the tv though, so that makes it easier...I do skim my grocery budget and invite a friend to a spinning class at the city aquatic center once a week. Well worth the $5!

I am at 158.8 today. Puts me down 10.2 in the seven weeks. My next goal is to be at 155 at the end of February and then to lose 5 pounds each month til June. That will put me at my end goal weight of 140! Easy, right??

Good job everyone!

I have a cold so I have had a rotten fitness week...and a rotten eating week. BUT, I think overall, I have been doing better at eating a little less, and being a little more active. I am moving in the right direction, just SLOWLY.

When I can't get out and run (which is often, since my running buddy is having a baby-yay for her, bummer for working out), I love Slim in 6. It's a great workout. There's no dancing, no fancy footwork, no music. You will be sore the next day. It does work.

I weigh less on the scale in Richmond than the one here at my family's house, so I'm not going to report totals until I get everything moved over.

I did just start a blog about a creative way to accomplish part of this, though:

My weight this week was 161.4 - which is down from 3 weeks ago - but I'm not sure how much. I'm just glad the numbers are going in the right direction now. Hopefully, I can keep it going. My short term goal was 155 by Feb. 27 - it will be tough, but I'm going for it.

I'm not brave enough to say my real weight. But I am brave enough to say that even though I haven't really lost any weight, I have managed to maintain my weight...that counts, right?

Cheryl I would love to exercise with you if you don't mind a little of a commute. We could take turns driving and let the kiddies play!

I have lately been doing the treadmill and reading, so it passes the time.

Call me sometime and we can exercise and talk on the phone -- I do that, too, using my headset. YES!
