Kindergartners in Hayward are being taught to become "allies."

Holy freakin' crap. Times like this, I'm glad I live in such a conservative state. We have our issues, but I can be pretty sure that my kindergartener won't get THAT at school.

"Opponents of traditional marriage keep telling us that Prop. 8 has nothing to do with education. In reality, they want to push the gay lifestyle on kindergartners, and we can only imagine how much worse it will be if Prop. 8 is defeated. This is not a scenario most Californians want replayed in their elementary schools."

apalling. "Education" is expanding its job so much that we have to start "uneducating" at home.

Thanks for all your Prop 8links...I'm sure you've noticed I've copied some of them into my blog. You can imagine how involved everyone is here...call centers, sign waving, etc. Tomorrow we are trying to line the PCH from Long Beach to San Clemente with Prop 8 support/signs.

Emily-
Yes, I did notice! But I'm glad my info is helping out where it counts --where the votes will be!
Good luck with all the campaigning. :)

This is so crazy, scary & sad. While I'm glad I don't live there (or AZ or FL as they're having similar battles), it's only a matter of time. Just know that we're praying and hoping for the best... in fact, we've been asking people of our faith to participate in a Fast on Nov. 2nd to support our fellow brothers & sisters to help with this fight.

I just cannot believe this. It makes me glad I'm in Utah, but scared for the future if it doesn't pass. I just heard yesterday that in AZ and FL they are having battles over this also. I'm telling you, the day they start teaching any of this where my kids go to school will be their last day in public school.
