Life keeps on going...

Mitt Romney announced some bad news today. Back to living in a world of cyncism. And no, convincing me to vote for Obama is not going to work. I hate his platform. That's why I vote Republican. I considered it, though --and with McCain as the GOP candidate, I'm not sure what I'm going to do. Perhaps I'll move to an uninhabited island in the South Pacific. Ooh. That sounds really, really good!

In good news, the sun has started to shine again. I like days where I don't have to turn on lights inside the house because of the natural sunshine filtering in. For those of you suffering in snow, I apologize. If I could, I would ship some of this sunshine your way!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'm ticked off at the contestants on this season's The Biggest Loser. Too much game playing --way, way, way too much drama. I like it best when they just try to lose weight and help each other accomplish their goals. How is bitter fighting going to inspire anyone to lose weight? The pressure is already huge, why add so much to it? If the producers think that causing more drama will boost ratings, then they sorely misunderstand their viewers.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
After voting on Tuesday, we walked to the park. We weren't outside for very long, because although the sun was bright and the sky was blue, it was still quite chilly. As we were walking back (#4 in the stroller, #3 and #2 walking behind), I said "It is such a beautiful day!" and #2 replied "It's a Beautiful Day for a SONG!" and she started to sing about beautiful days. I love her impromptu concerts and ability to make everything about music.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Big changes are coming to our lives. I'm not at liberty to discuss them right now, but I'm grateful for the experience I had a mere 4 days ago. I'm going to need to remember those feelings as the future unfolds. I'm also extremely grateful for Brandon --for his faith and strength. He's my rock through everything, really.

Oh, and don't worry, I'm sure I'll let you all know what I'm talking about before too long. :)

I've been crying pretty hard today.

I will say this: I'm not sure what I will do, but it will NOT be voting McCain. I WILL NOT DO IT.

I'm disappointed with Romney. I think that he still had a chance, but he bowed out gracefully with his integrity still in tact so I suppose it is okay.

I agree with you on the Biggest Loser. They are trying to add too many little twists in. I am glad that Jackie got kicked off though. Next week looks exciting!

Way to leave us hanging. ;) Good luck with whatever it is!

SO sad about Romney! I don't think I can vote for McCain either. Can I come live on the island with you?? LOL Hope your changes are good.

I CanNOT vote for McCain. I could not, would not, in a box - I would not, could not, with a fox.

Yes, Obama's platform is very leftist. But, here's the thing - McCain believes the same stuff!! And he'll cram it down our throats and nobody will stop him because he's a Democrat with an R by his name.

Also, he's completely crazy and freaks out on people unpredictably, and if he pisses off the wrong world leader, well then, you better have your food storage.

Whew - about your big mystery - I'm guessing you're moving or changing jobs.

Okay... my thoughts on Obama:

Well, their not my thoughts.

This is a comment from a poster on another site:

I don't know much about Obama... I've watched a few debates and he is a great communicator and motivator. But once I read this, I realized that if this is true there was no way I would vote for him.

For you Obama supporters (or considererers) can you refute or clarify any of these things from his Blueprint for Change?

Biff, I recently found a link to this blog about Obama. He might be able to answer your questions/concerns. http://denniswendt.blogspot.com/

Grrr... how like a writer of you. All these cliff hangers. Only we don't get to choose when we turn the page to find out what's going on! :) Hope it's good thingsfor your family. P.S. I like the open format better for what it's worth. You know, I'm lazy, too much effort to click on the title to see what's going on. :)

Cliff hangers = extremely rude because now I have to obsessively keep checking back to see if you have said what was going on. Meanie.

I am glad the sun is coming out. The snow is melting a bit here and it is much better. That is sad about Romney, but I think he started a good trend. Maybe he will try for the senate or something. It might help him to get more Washington time under his belt. As for Biggest Loser, I haven't watched it this year. Yes, Ms. Cliffhanger. I am so wanting to know. I hope it is that Brandon has this fab new job in of all places, Detroit. We have 2 homes for sale, one on either side of us. They are calling your name....I will keep my fingers crossed. Change is always good....even if it makes you a bit nervous.

Hey...I live in Arizona and I'm sure NOT voting for McCain. I used to like him. Fortunatly, I grew to learn the 'real McCain'. I'm going to have to do a write in on this election.
