Christmas Music Time!

I LOVE Christmas music. Love it, love it, love it!

So a couple of weeks ago, I bought THIS and THIS. I'm usually very good about not listening to Christmas music until after Thanksgiving, but this year, all bets are off.

I cannot get enough of it! You all know of my love for the Josh boy. But I've found a new voice: Sissel. This woman amazes me. Her voice is one of the most beautiful things I have ever heard. Some people go for this. Others go for this. And even others go for this. And that's cool. I love all kind of sounds and voices, myself. I am a respecter of good music. But honestly? Sissel's voice is so pure. And her arranger? Brilliant! I'm just angry at myself for just now discovering her. How lame am I?

My Uncle sings in the MoTab (Mormon Tabernacle Choir). He told me that when she came to sing with them she was sweet, gracious, and blew them away with her spot-on pitch. She also didn't act like a diva, which impressed him even more.

So, if you're looking for Christmas Music, check these two CD's out!

*please note that this is not a paid advertisement. I just like them!

I went to the Mo-Tab christmas concert last year when Sissel came and it was AMAZING - I fell in love with her just as you did! I would search all over the internet just to hear a clip of her music until I could find a cd :)

I love Christmas music too. I am getting really excited this year. I pulled out our Christmas decoration box a few days ago and am really looking forward to decorating a tree.

Never heard of Sissel, I'll have to give her a try. Thanks for the recommendation. Love new music discoveries!

I've started the Christmas music buy early this year too. Chris Botti and gasp Celine. I'm totally not a Celine fan and haven't seen Oprah in probably 10 years, but somehow I happened to turn her on the other day and now I own a Celine Christmas CD. Crazy stuff happens when the mood moves you.

I have really enjoyed the Josh Groban Christmas cd. Very good. Also enjoying Cherie Call's "Gifts" album. A few excellent songs. I figure that I can listen all ready if I am working on Christmas stuff or driving. DH wishes I didn't start this early but oh well.
