Sweet October

I wrote a post over at Real Intent today. Go have a gander!

Other things of interest:

*15 years ago, today, Brandon proposed to me.

*This morning, Christina took our family photos for us. Yay! Here's a sneak peek!

*We leave in 13 days for Pennsylvania. HUZZAH!

*I love my children something fierce. But I often fall into the trap that children are not people. Luckily, this article helped me see them a bit better. Even more than this article, though, is just the knowledge that they are God's children, too. In fact, they are more His than they are mine!

*Books I read/am reading:

My Story by Elizabeth Smart
Playing for Pizza by John Grisham
Blackmoore by Julianne Donaldson
A Portrait for Toni by Annette Lyon
Lord Haversham Take Command by Heidi Ashworth
The Lord Who Sneered and Other Tales: A Regency Holiday Anthology set in the world of Miss Delacourt by Heidi Ashworth
A Timeless Romance Anthology: Autumn Collection by a lot of women! (okay, I'm too lazy to type out their names)
Longbourn by Jo Baker

*Two of my most favorite Autumn quotes:

“I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers.” ~L.M. Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables

and

"Delicious autumn! My very soul is wedded to it, and if I were a bird I would fly about the earth seeking the successive autumns." ~George Eliot

How are you liking Playing for Pizza? I started listening to it eons ago on audiobook loan from our library and I don't remember if I just had others come in that I was more interested in or if I just never got into it. I finally deleted it from my mp3 player, but I find myself audiobookless again and I'm wondering if I should give it another chance.

Evitafjord --It was okay. Nothing really spectacular, and I really hated how immoral the main character was (and continued to be), but meh. I read it on the flight from SLC to Philadelphia, so it didn't take me long to read it (but I read fast). It was really interesting to hear about Italian "American" football and more Italian culture and food, though! That made it worth the read to me.

Mother OTWB --thank you! :)

Wow, how do you have time to read anything? I feel honored to have made the list.

Heidi, it's my way to avoid! ;) And of COURSE you made the list! I especially liked the Ghost story. <3
