Horrified, La Caille, and Typewriters Were Fun!

So, this morning I got on KSL.com to peruse the classifieds, when this story caught my eye. Which wasn't hard, given it's blaring front-page place.

I hate these stories.

I remember when the whole Andrea Yates story came out. I am still just as horrified today as I was back then. Whenever I read stories about mothers harming their children, my heart just aches; I don't understand it. I can't understand it. I'm horrified to think about how these innocent little souls are betrayed by the very people who gave them life. Makes me want to scream! I mean, I've got Depression, I've had post-partum depression (4 out of 5 times), but I would like to think (and hope, hope, hope!) that I would have gotten help if there was any slight inkling of hurting my kids! I just hate this stuff. And that is why I can't read stories like this. Or watch Law&Order: SVU. It just makes me sick to my stomach.

Dang. Let's change the subject.

Last night Brandon and I went to a celebratory dinner (for his job) at La Caille. It was like a fairytale! It is seriously one of the most beautiful restaurants I have ever seen.
There were rabbits, peacocks, and pheasants wandering all over the grounds; gazebos, vineyards, ponds, fountains, bridges, lights, gorgeous trees, bushes, and flowers; greenhouses, antique chairs/tables...it was seriously a wonderland. No wonder it's a favorite spot for weddings!

Funny video! Ha! Although it should say "woman" --not "blonde." Yes, I am defending all blondes everywhere! Or something.

Funny video!

And I'm the same way about mother's hurting their children stories--or fathers for that matter too. If I'm watching the news and I see those stories I always change the channel. Its so very sad and it makes me angry.

That's why I don't watch the news.

And I loved typewriters...I actually took typing in 7th grade. :)

And that my friends, is why I don't watch the news. I see enough of it in real life.

I love SVU. I think I'm weird, so don't worry.

That video is awesome. Awesome.
