I'm Back!

A Few Things Learned On Our Glorious Trip:

1. I am awesome.

2. Pulling a trailer behind the mini-van really isn't that hard. Thus my awesomeness. Or...wait. Maybe it makes me less awesome? Shoot.

3. You should never leave goldfish crackers around the cousins as they sleep in the camping chairs by the fire pit. Sure, the deer will show up to eat, but so will the skunks.

4. Reverse-strippers are a must for any future LDS bachelorette parties. Even if I almost do wet my pants.

5. If you want to solve all of the world's problems, walk 10 miles with your MIL and your aunt. At 6AM. Along a country road. Back to the campsite. I'm seriously not kidding.

6. Wasps like meat, yes, but they also love jam, syrup, batter, juice, babies...

7. The beach is still THAT good.

8. Fresh organic fruit bought at a local fresh organic fruit place tastes like heaven.

9. Camping is the best vacation for families. Hands down. I might argue that Disneyland is up there, too...but...nope. Camping wins.

10. Hiking, even if the cause is sad (such as planting flowers for a loved-one who has passed), always makes me happy.

10.5. A Papa-built tree house, even if scary for the parents, is part of dreams-come-true.

*More info on our fab vacation to come later. Maybe. I forgot to take pictures during the entire 10-day excursion. I know, right?

Sounds like a great trip! I'm going to need some more details on some of those things though.

I'm with you - fresh fruit tastes like heaven (organic or not, in my opinion.)
