The Biggest Loser: Week One

[By the time you read this, dear reader, I will be on my way to San Francisco with the fam. If any of you are reading this, I (and my kiddies) will be near and around the place I used to live (go CV1!) on Saturday. If you would like to get together that day, email me; I'm still trying to work stuff out, but I'll be in town most of the day!]

THE BIGGEST LOSER! HUZZAH!

Okay, confession time: I didn't watch more than 15 minutes of the show. I couldn't. I was packing! Yesterday was crazy; eye exams for #1 and me (I get glasses! She gets glasses!), school, work, packing, shopping, and I swear there was more because it felt like more. But anywhosers, I did the most important part, so it's all good. Oh! Oh! And I thought it was just awesome that the Biggest Loser contestants had to weigh themselves in front of their family and friends --kind of like what we're doing, eh? I had no idea they were doing it! Super cool, yo.

Now behold! My weight for all to see!

And Brandon -that cool cat with the new job - is gonna play, too. Hooray!

TaLaisa sent me hers and this is what she said about it:
It can only go down from here. 50.5 pounds down. To be exact. But I'll just think of it in 10lb increments. So 186.5 here I come.

So, dear reader, what is your weight? And what are you going to do this week to combat it? My goal? Not to gain. Because we are traveling and travel is not always good on the waistline. However, we have packed apples and low-fat granola bars, so I should be good to go! Man, wish me luck. I wish you luck, too!

I weighed in yesterday morning. 187.8. My goal is to lose but I'm having hard time getting back on track after the holidays.

Good luck! Have fun in CA!

I'll play too, Cheryl! My starting weight is 169.0. I started WW online on Monday. And I plan to ride the new spinning bike I got for Christmas at least 5 days this week for 20 min. My first goal is 5%. Good luck everyone!

I'm going to play along. I need to lose 10 pounds in the next 6 wks!
Starting weight 168.8

Starting weight 159. My goal weight is 140 but we'll see how reasonable or healthy that is for me. Real goal? Marathon in October.

(and in an ironic twist my verification word is 'saggy'......sigh)

I don't own a scale but I feel like I'd like to lose 15 lbs. If I had to guess, I'd say I'm at 138 right now. My pants are uncomfortable, so it's time to play along. My goal is to be comfortable in my jeans again.

Also, TaLaisa, I LOVE your socks in that shot!

I want to play. 200.8 today, so my goal for this week is to never, ever, ever see 200+ on my scale so at least a pound gone and stays gone this week. I've been hovering around 198 for a long time and it's past time to get back down again. End goal is 50 to 60 pounds gone, but I'll start with a 10-pound mini goal too.

Delurking to play along. I was 191.6 this morning. Pretty awful, but considering I haven't weighed in since before Thanksgiving and was only up .2, I'll take it! My goal is to lose 40 pounds before my 40th birthday in August. I'll be able to face that birthday better if I feel good in my own skin again.

Your Aunt Kathi is in. I'm at 171.2. My goal is to lose 30 lbs. My short term goal is to lose 15 lbs by the end of Feb. when we go pick up our son in Uganda. He has never seen his mom this big and I have a feeling that he is going to be pretty slim after two years in Africa. Goal for next week - 168. I'm out the door right now to swim and then run stadiums with a friend. Thanks for the incentive and the accountability.

Gulp. I cannot believe I am doing this.

185.2

I'm going to be super-realistic about this and I'm going to shoot for a 2 pound loss per week.

My big goal is 150.

I'm not going to put my weight down because I'm not that brave yet, however...i have my own diet blog that I'm doing with a friend of mine..but I can say this. my goal is to loose 82 lbs and since Monday I'm down 5 lbs. I'll take it...look at what leaving diet pepsi behind and going to the dentist can do for you...
goal: by Robert's farewell to be down 15 lbs total....
cherly...you have my blog address and can go there and look..when i loose a bit more than i'll post weight..just not brave enough yet, but i do admire all of you who did it!!!
and looser was amazing last night!

LOL! Just re-read this and my comment sounds kind of funny...

It sounds like my big goal is to lose 150! Bwahahahaha!

I should re-phrase this to say my big goal is to lose 35 pounds which would make my goal weight 150.

Like I said, I don't own a scale. If I had to guess I'm at about 135ish. But, I ran four miles on Monday (my birthday no less) and two today. I didn't get the workout video done yesterday. But, my goal for the week is 10 miles.

I weighed in at 148 today. Down from 162, hooray! But I would like to get down to 135. We're all going to be so skinny and healthy! By the way, I'm so glad your hubby found another job and that y'all get to stay in Provo, huzzah!

I'm going to play Dance Dance Revolution until I lose 10 pounds. I might just play it forever.

I don't own a scale and I'll even risk everyone's hatred and say that I don't really feel like I need to lose but I do need to get into shape. I've done pretty well the last few months (with your support) but I still need you to hold me accountable.)

(PS While traveling you can buy a 24 hour pass at a Gold's gym for $10 and if you time it right you can go twice on that pass, it worked great for Sean and I this week.)
