The Biggest Loser: Week 2

My weight (I lost 1.3 pounds!):

Brandon's weight (he lost .4 pounds!):

TaLaisa's weight (she lost 5 pounds! GO TALAISA!! WHOO-HOO!!):

Marianne's weight LAST week (What are you now, Marianne??):

My thoughts on the show:
*I don't like it when they get all dramatic about dying, even though it's true. Sometimes it's a little much.
*I like the Italian guy, even if his mom is a little...umm...sad? Although, I do get the water thing. I'm not afraid of water myself, but I know people who are, and it's a tough fear to overcome. Really tough.

My thoughts on weight loss this week:
*I started counting points again! (Weight Watchers Points.) Yesterday I rocked it and today I'm on track.
*Exercise is tough; but yesterday, after a motivating conversation with a buddy, I exercised on the elliptical and did some arm weights. Go me!
*Interesting thought I had:
Everybody knows what to do to be healthy. EVERYBODY. You eat fruits, veggies, grains, and you drink water. You exercise. You brush your teeth. You get enough rest. You smile. You surround yourself with good music, good friends, and good work. We all know this, right? So why is it so hard? Why are the temptations so much easier? Why do the distractions rule the day?
I like to blame Satan.
The Devil made me do it!
Just kidding! Well, sort of. You know what I mean, though. We have to take responsibility for our actions, even if it's hard. Ooh, ooh! Like I was telling Brandon last night: It doesn't matter if I lose 30 pounds or not, I will still have to take my Zoloft and my asthma meds. But that doesn't mean my asthma or my Depression should stop me from being as healthy as I can be. Limits don't automatically equate impossibility!

Now for you:
*Amanda -- You weighed in at 187.8. How did you do this week?
*Kimberly -- You weighed in at 169.0 but you've got yourself a spinning bike and WW online! How did you do? Did you do 20 minutes, 5 days a week on the bike?
*Julie P. -- Not true. You are one of the bravest people I know! Love you.
*Tiffany -- You weighed in at 168.8. You said you had to lose 10 pounds in 6 weeks? Dish, girl! Why? And have you lost any?
*Becky and the 2 cats -- You weighed in at 159 with a goal of 140. But! Marathon in October?! You are my hero! How is the training going? Any long-distance goals? Did you keep any?
*Julie -- How goes the tight jeans? Did you weigh in this week, or are you still guessing?
*evitafjord -- You weighed in at 200.8 and you never want to see the 200's again! How did it go? Are you out of 'em now?
*katelisa the lurker who de-lurked (yay!!!) -- You weighed in at 191.6. 40 pounds before August is totally possible, you know. I lost 40 pounds in less than 9 months, and that included a move! You can do it! How did you do this week?
*Aunt Kathi -- Yay! You weighed in at 171.2. How did those stadium stairs go? And I can't believe he's coming home next month! Crazy how time flies. Hopefully he gets my package before he leaves...
*Marianne -- See your picture above. ;)
*Judi -- No worries. I've read your weight loss blog and you rock! You are doing so well! Keep it up, girl. How much more have you lost?
*Jill -- Happy late birthday! Did you get the 10 miles this week? How did you do today?
*Cardalls (Cheryl) -- You should probably report how much you gain --aren't you supposed to be gaining, oh, pregnant one? :)
*Heather (and Ethan!) -- Well, where is your weight report, you guys? Come on, you know you wanna do it!
*Heather -- You weighed in at 148 (down from 162?! That is so awesome!). How did you do this week?
*madhousewife -- Did you lose your 10 pounds? How often did you play Dance Dance Revolution? And which level are you on?
*Alison -- You are my hero, in so many ways. You keep me on my toes, and it's awesome! You better get your Four this week...

Okay, kids, report! And if you missed last week's stuff, it's never too late to start! Just let me know in the comments below where you are starting.
You guys are the best!

Yes! 199.2 just now, so down 1.6. AND I started Couch to 5k yesterday and lived through it and even enjoyed it. My goal 5k is our local Komen 5k the day before Mother's Day.

I did not lose 10 pounds. I do not think I lost any pounds.

I did not play DDR even once.

On the other hand, I didn't eat quite as much crap as I usually do. That's something. Especially for me.

I am in awe of you and everyone else willing to do this...I don't have the guts to post my weight!

Good job and keep up the good work!

167.4. So down 1.6. Did 3 days of spinning instead of 5. Stayed within my points all days but one cause we had a birthday. Dang cake! This week, keep exercising. It's hard with the one year old running around though. Slow and steady wins the race!

I weighed in at 166.0 this morning. That is 5.2 lbs!! I also took my finals for school this week, so that stress is over for now and hopefully that will help me with my stress eating. But the best thing, I hired my seventeen year old - football player son - winner of the "Ironman Award" from his coach as the toughest and hardest working player - to be my personal trainer. My thought was that he would work me out 5 days a week for 30 minutes a day focusing on toning (cause I'm good at doing cardio on my own). Well, he has taken me on as a personal challenge. Besides working me HARD (I've almost cried), he has me on a strict diet, fixes me protein shakes after my workout, and won't let me eat after 8:00 pm. I am only paying him $5 a day - I am getting more than my money's worth. It is very motivating - sure don't want to let my son down or think his mom is a quitter. I should have done this a long time ago. Anyways - we just started working together 2 days ago - so most of my weight loss this week I did on my own. With his help I think I can do even better, so I am setting this week's goal at 160 lbs (that would be a 6 lb weight loss. There's nothing like success to keep you motivated.

Thanks again, Cheryl, for providing a place to be accountable.

I actually haven't weighed in this week yet. And I didn't make it to the gym this week either. Loads of odd stuff happening at work that left me emotionally exhausted but I think I've lost a few pounds in anxiety weight. Not a crash diet I'd recommend.

Before Christmas I'd been getting 3 or 4 runs a week at 5 miles a run. I'd like to run the Salt Lake half marathon in April and in October a full marathon with my brother and sister.

I'm in. I read about your challenge last week and spent a week lurking, but put me down for 182 lbs today. Today was also a big day for me because I joined the 12-week challenge at my gym as well.

Hey! I just noticed your SewSara button! She is one of my friends from Missouri! (small world!)
I'm going to be starting a round of IVF in 6 weeks so that's why I wanted to lose 10 pounds before then!
This week I was down 1/2 pound.
Hopefully next week will be better.

I am at 186.8.

Well, I was on Thursday. I weigh in Thursday for WW (online), so I weigh in again in tomorrow.

Tomorrow, I don't think I will do as well. I didn't keep track of points this week. I felt the stress and tried to eat my way out of it. I did exercise though - Saturday I walked 5 miles, and I work out at church M, W, F.

honestly i dont even keep track of how much I gain during pregnancy. i think it's about 10 lbs give or take a few :). I figure if it's a problem my doctor will tell me, it's one of the few times in life i dont stress over the number on the scale!

I didn't make it 10 miles last week. But, I am working on cutting out snacks because I always eat junk that is not good for me, and too much of it. So that has made me feel better this week.
