Biggest Loser Finale

My Biggest Loser Thoughts:

1. I love that Antoine proposed to Alexandra! That was sweet. Very, very sweet.
2. Tracey looked freaky. Like too-skinny freaky. Am I the only one thinking this? I thought she looked much healthier when she ran that mile again after she was voted off.
3. I HATE Rebbeca's hair. Hate it. Hate it. I shouldn't hate someone's hair this much, but I do. Perhaps it's because "she looks so much older now" (according to Brandon), or maybe it's because she is a natural dark brunette --not sure. But it bugged me. I'm so superficial.
4. I started crying when they offered Shay to weigh in at the end of next season. I love Shay!
5. So glad that Danny won! I love that Danny; he's so incredible. But at the same time, I think Rudy is great, too. They were both class-act guys (even with Rudy's disappointing promise-break with Shay).
6. When Rudy said: "I didn't think I had the time" and talked about working and being a dad and all his responsibilities, it made me realize that my excuses are the same. If Rudy, who works 70 hours a week can find time, I certainly can!

Which reminds me: My injured foot is finally starting to feel better. The chest pain has left. But we have ice and inches of snow on the ground. Me running/walking in 12 degree weather? Not happening, especially since I believe the chest pain was lung damage due to running in the cold after not running (at all!) for a year. So...hello step-aerobics, pilates, yoga, and the elliptical machine! Starting 6AM tomorrow morning. Okay, maybe 6:30AM. But still!

Hey, Brandon, wanna join me?

Do you watch The Biggest Loser? Why or why not? Does it inspire you like it inspires me?

i love shay...she is amazing! and subway is the bomb as my kids say.

rebecca..well my kids say she looks like that word that rhymes with snow...i think you can figure it out. that dress she wore was horrible!

tracey...never did like her much from the start. she has lost a lot of weight, but almost looks like she is anorexic or something...oh well...just glad she is gone.

i love rudy..he is so dang cool and such a great guy..

jeff is amazing! so glad that he won! doesn't even look like the same guy! good for him!!!

i had told #1 two months ago, that when he got home from his mission in 2012 (that seems so far from now) that I would be down to what i was in 1990 when dad and i were married....75 lbs ago! So I'm dusting off the treadmill and rearranging the upstairs to give me some room (only until he gets home), then off I go...weight watchers here i come.

looser inspires, but also makes me feel like i am a looser because i have no excuse..this time i'm going to do it and keep it off...

My husband was convinced that Rebecca was on crack. She was seriously acting SO weird and looked even MORE weird! That hair *did* make her look older and I hated it as well.

Could NOT believe how great Danny looked. 20 years younger for sure.

Tracey was freakishly skinny and didn't look healthy - i agree!

Wow!! I agree with your whole post!!! It was so cute when he proposed!! And yes tracy looked horrible! Like she took steroids or something!! And Rebecca looked so beautiful before....her hair was just horrible!!!! I cant believe how amazing Danny looked!!! Rudy looked great too!! It is crazy how some people do so well...and others dont!

Now I want to start working out!!! Well right after the baby comes ;)

I loved the finale. Everyone looked so amazing! I was glad that anyone of the 4 finalists could have won and I would've been happy for them, they 'played' pretty honorably.

Rebecca's hair was a shock. The dress was terrible. Other than that she looked great. But why go blond?

Dh says that Tracey looked like she had started body building. (And was probably taking performance enhancing supplements). Her upper body was so masculine. Scary masculine.

I cried when they offered Shay that great opportunity.

Antoine's proposal was so sweet. The rock looked huge!

I've been running inside, on my treadmill facing the wall. I'd come join you on the workout if it didn't involve getting up at 5 am just to be there in time.

Biggest Loser totally inspires me. It gives me so much hope and endless possibilities.

I didn't like Tracy from the beginning...and yes she did look too skinny. I was glad that she didn't win the $100,000 because she was just mean to the other contestants and I was glad when she was finally kicked off.

I feel the same way about Rebecca's hair. I think she is such a pretty girl but that blond hair makes her look used up and old. She needs to dye it back pronto! (Not that she listens to me...ha ha ha)

I LOVE Shay! I'm so glad they offered her that deal. I think all of America is rooting for her...GO SHAY...we can't wait to see you at the next finale!

I am glad that Danny won as well. I like him and think he is genuinely a good guy. I didn't really like Rudy after what he did to Shay and Rebecca quite frankly. I know it's a game, but I just couldn't get on his team after that.

I love the show and hate it all at the same time. It gives me hope, but then when I realize that my measly little walking 3 days a week isn't going to shed 10 pounds in a week like them it gets a little depressing too. I know they put a lot of effort into it, but I just can't devote my life to it like they do on the ranch so it can feel a little hopeless too.

We watched the first few seasons religiously--loved it. I watch very little TV, and what we do watch is whatever my husband records on the TiVo. Since he hasn't been watching it lately, neither have I.

Crazy Tracey looks like she's on the 'roids to me. And while Rebecca acted odd I didn't mind the blonde hair. I just hated the dress she was in.

Agree on all your points.

Sara - I think Rebecca's crack was beating Tracey. I think that was her motivation and her reason for acting weird during the finale. I was happy when I saw her come out because I wasn't sure anyone could beat Tracey.

BTW, did anyone else think that (excluding Danny and Rudy) Allison looked better than any of the contestants? She always fluctuates, but IDK if I've ever seen her looking quite that good.

I love The Biggest Loser and I agree with your thoughts on the finale. I am so glad that Danny won. This show does inspire me to make time to take care of myself.

So glad you posted about Biggest Loser! I love the show, very motivational, even though I don't do anything about it. I just wanted to put my two cents in. Glad Danny won, I like Rebecca's shorter hair, but hate the color. Basically, dido to everyone's comments, and I am jealous of Antoine's proposal. How sweet and romantic was that!?

I love BL. It's my can't miss show each week. I like Tracey in the show - I liked that she was honest about playing the game. She was too skinny though.

I also thought that Rebecca's hair was awful. She and Daniel are dating, you know. That's part of why she was acting weird.

My favorite contestant was Abby. For me, she was much more inspiring than Shay. I'm excited to see what Shay does though.

Good luck on exercising! We started a group at church and that has helped me a ton. I actually get up and go because I know there are people there. I missed this morning though and did yoga on my own.

I had to add that I agree with the previous poster, Abby's story was most inspiring.

AND check facebook, I posted 5 of the 8 pairs of earrings I've made(tell me what you think and if you want me to make two of any of them for your pair).

Totally inspires- now I need to force my motivation through to loose at the very least, the weight I put on while my son was gone on his mission- that is my starting goal- then I want to loose the weight I put on after my hyster. and before the mission.

Wish (sort of) that I had Jillian without the language- to kick me in gear.

Oh, YES! How could I forget Abby? Abby, whose story made me weep and weep and weep?? I love Abby!

And welcome to Head Nurse and Story of Our Life. So fun to have new commenters!

I used to watch BL while eating brownies and icecream (there's a good chance I'll go to hell for that).

You better do it tomorrow, I'm going to check.

Abby lives near me so when they showed her going to the gym during the week at home, it was the gym I used to go to. Made me feel guilty when she said she had to drive 30 minutes each way to get there. I let my membership go because I never could convince myself to get up early enough to go before the kids get up for school - and it only takes 15 minutes from my house. We ended up only using it for the pool over the summer.

We thought Rebecca was on drugs too. She was freaking us out. Everything else, ditto. What a great show!
