Hey, thanks to everyone for your awesome, awesome therapist advice in my last post. The information was almost overwhelming, but it helped tremendously! I'll be sure to keep you updated as to "when I get the therapist" and "if it works" and "if I recommend it" and "all that jazz."
In the meantime, here's some stuff we've been up to:
On November 20th, Brandon turned 32! But he was in North Carolina, so we had ourselves a party for him on November 21st. It was low key and we had cake:
Earlier this week, #2's theater class had a big Christmas performance. After watching her on stage, I decided I want to be a stage mom. Why? Because she has the talent for it, and she loves it! Here's some stuff from that night:
Last night we had our Ward Christmas Party. I sang in a trio (very badly, I might add. The other girls were great --I was flat. So flat. Which stunk because I had done well in rehearsal, gosh darn it!), accompanied a duet (amazing duet, too), and then I played for the Primary Nativity Reenactment. #2 had another starring role in this play; she was asked to memorize and recite a poem. You can hear me playing "Silent Night" in the background while she's speaking. Oh, and in the second picture below, #1 is the angel behind Mary and Joseph:
I love Christmas! It's seriously the best time of the year --all cliche's intended. I found this on my sister-in-law's husband's wife's blog (catch that?):
Joy to Everyone
Watch the video; it truly emphasizes that Christ came not just for me or someone with religion --he came for Everyone. I loved, loved, loved it!
OH! And one last announcement:
We are coming to California! We made the decision earlier this week (thank you low gas prices!), and we're planning on being in Southern CA from Dec. 27th through Jan. 2nd. Just FYI to those who live in the area or for those who were expecting us to be in Utah. But we should be back by the 3rd of January...
What are you doing this month to celebrate Christmas? Any fun activities? Parties? Vacations? Traditions? Desire to hibernate?

Oooh, if you guys are going to Disneyland, let us know. We'd love to meet up with you!
So sad I missed the Christmas performance by #2! Hank had double ear infection/sore throat. Thanks for all your posts--seriously. I freaking HATE all the people that are AVID FOLLOWERS of the blog, but can't think of ANYTHING to say. Randy (husband) says that I'm just "so edgy" that people don't know what to say, they don't know how to respond. Really? R e a l l y? How about "hi?" Anyway, you're like my internet therapist. Do you prescribe meds?
wouldn't your SIL's husband's wife be your SIL?
i didn't catch that, haha.
haven't read or commented in awhile -- sorry!
Doh! Thanks, Sara! I meant my SIL's BROTHER's wife. Yeah. :)
Michelle-
I charge like a million bucks per happy pill. But it's soooo worth it! ;)
Missy-
Probably no Disneyland --we're trying to save some moolah. But we'd love to see you! In fact, I need to write Arlene...
I have a strong desire to hibernate. Unfortunately I'm not going to get the chance. Our ward Christmas party is tonight, too bad I'm sick. But I have another scheduled for every Saturday until Christmas so I'm pretty sure I'll get my partying in.
You're coming to So. Cal??? I expect to get an email...:)
Cute videos.
OK, I am seriously jealous of your Christmas party. Ours was yesterday and was lame. I vowed when I was activity chair I would not criticize other people's parties but ours was such a letdown because
1) it was waaaay too early in the morning (just say no to Christmas party breakfasts)
2) the food was gross. I should know. They gave me a recipe for an inedible casserole. Very sad.
3) Santa was the main attraction and they forgot to get a Santa costume. So, the kids went and visited a stuffed toy Santa instead. Sooooooo disappointing!
Isn't that an amazing video?! I loved it and will admit that I got really teary. Have fun in California and Merry Christmas!
Sweet videos!
I am jealous that you get to go to So. Cal during Christmas. I'll be thinking of you hanging out in the warm weather while I trek up to Yellowstone with my kids. Hmm...maybe I'll just send the kids to Yellowstone and hitch a ride to California with you...
A stage mom! Yes! And then you could, like, ruin her life and then she could disown you later, like Drew Barrymore/Britney Spears/Lindsay Lohan (and so many others). It would be so trendy. You should do it. :)
But seriously, she is ADORABLE. And no stage fright whatsoever -- it's like she was born to do it. My #1 was very excited ("Mommy, this is the first time I've ever been in a PLAY"), but he gets so shy in front of people. He was glad all he had to do was hold his frankincense and look amazing in his costume.
Alison-
Have fun livin' it up at all the parties --maybe you could hibernate come Jan?
Flip Flop-
Done. And doner.
Amber-
LAME! Your party is sooooo lame! I'm glad you told me about it so I could appreciate my awesome one. Crazy. Oh, well --now you have a great standard NOT to acheive to?
Julie-
Yes! Thanks for letting me steal the link even though I didn't technically steal it. :)
Fluffy-
I love Yellowstone, though! But in the winter? Please tell me you're gonna be snowmobile riding (or is that illegal again?). If not, you could hitch a ride with us... :)
Liz-
YAY! You wrote on my blog! Hooray! Actually, #2 could end up being like those psychos, so I should be careful --she truly wants to own the world one day! And your #1 was very cute; he's such a great kid. :)
Oh, and I sent you the pictures...
