Halloween: Year of Tens Edition

So, I was all set to show you our engagement photos today because Ten Years Ago (Today!), Brandon's friend (thank you, Maren!) took our engagement/announcement photos in her grandmother's lovely backyard. Yes, on Halloween (but it was in the afternoon). The pictures were simple, they were done with a non-digital camera (I'm getting old!), they were just what I wanted! And I have two sheets of proofs that I wanted to show you.
But today is a rotten day. Because:
...my computer freezes every time I try to scan those photos.
...I can't stop eating Halloween candy (that's a big no-no!).
...I have a cold. My first one of the season.
...I just found out that less than a week after Brandon gets home, he has to do some more international travel.
...I have guests coming over tonight for dinner and the Trunk-or-Treat at our Church parking lot, but I'm still in my pajamas, the kitchen is a mess, and I just feel like going back to bed.

...I really wanted to share those engagement photos!

In an effort to give you some idea, here's part of our wedding announcement. I shared it last year, it doesn't have any of the words on it (we did that postcard-type announcement. Gotta save trees!), and it makes me sad because I was all proud of myself for being on time with all my Year of Tens posts. And now it's all messed up.
Sigh, sigh, sigh (and some pouting, too).
Ah, well.
Whatteryagonnado?
Here's the picture:

Ahhh, what a cute picture--and I'm not sure the trick or treaters will get much of the candy either . . .

So young, so young. What happened? JK! I can tease you about that because I'm old, remember?

Sorry for the stressful day. I hope you have a wonderful dinner/trunk-or-treat with your friends.

And I can totally empathize on the back to back international traveling stuff. So grrrrrr-provoking.

Darn you two are cute. Darn cute.

Blasted Halloween candy. I've had more than my fair share, too.

And colds be darned to heck. Mine stuck around for nearly 2 full weeks. I stuck it out though, and it's pretty much over. Sorry you're just getting started. Here's to hopin' it doesn't last for too long.

Sending loves to you.

What?! They weren't digital?! Wow, you must be old.

Leave the dishes, someone needs to buck the system (and we now know it won't be me).

Hey, there...it's your old roommate, Susan. I have secretly followed your blog for a number of months. (I found a link once on Laura's blog before she made it private!) Seeing your cute engagement pic brought back some great memories of that time and inspired me to say "hi." That really was such a nice fall. Funny that I would remember such a thing. Hmmm? Remember going to the BYU games with all of us? Anyway, it's fun to keep an eye on you. You have such a beautiful family and you always have such fun things to read! :)

Susan? Oh. My. Heck! It's been years and years! How fun to see you've been stalking me. :) I may have to return the favor!

I have tons of pictures of all of us from that fall semester; you should see the Halloween one! You were the only one with a decent costume... :)
