One of the Best Weekends EVER

Why? Because:
  • Brandon and I had three blissful nights alone!
  • We got to see Seattle from the Space Needle and visit Pike's Place Fish Market, where we ate Thai food, browsed through used bookstores, saw the tossing of fish, relished in the beautiful colors of fruit and flowers, and listened to great local music.
  • I got to meet one of my very best friends in person.
  • We got to eat wonderful, delicious, delectable seafood.
  • BYU beat UDUB (University of WA) by one whole point.
  • We arrived and left the football game by boat.
  • We visited with Brandon's uncle, aunt, and cousins and they showed us the awesomeness of Puget Sound.
  • I decided I want to live in Seattle. Right now. And no, I'm not kidding.

Here are some photos (click on the mosaic to get a better close-up):

Oh Cheryl, I wish I was as good at making connections as you are.

Rachel-
Yay! Yay! Yay!

Bythelbs-
Aww. Tell her I think she's pretty great, too. :)

Janelle-
Wha?! I do not know what you are talking about Miss anyone-who-meets-me-loves-me-for-life-and-I'm-the-designated-friend-maker-of-the-entire-Stake-because-I'm-just-that-wonderful!
Serious. If I have any connection skillz, I got them from you, you know! :)

Awesome pictures! We used to know one of the Husky players, he lived next door to us. He was up for the NFL draft but decided to not play ball and focus on an Africa charity he'd started instead. Neat guy.

I love the pictures, so gorgeous! I'm glad ya'll had a good time and that you're home safe. And OMGosh, Bythelbs just has the most beautiful hair! :)

I did homemade Perogies on Saturday, along with 7 loads of laundry. And I bore my testimony on Sunday. And I effectively procrastinated my homework...just like I am doing right now. :)

Errands, Church, Cleaning...I think I would rather have your weekend, thank you. Oh...maybe a little moping...or was that mopping...I'm confused. ;)

So, Ethan and I wound up in Seattle on Saturday as well. We had to run some errands to SPU and had lunch on UW campus within view of the stadium as we listened to the end of the game on the radio. We totally hollered at the end and got some pretty nasty looks from the people around us all dressed in purple and yellow. Woo hoo! We'd have given our left arms for tickets, but what can you do?
Glad you had a good trip. You came on a nice weekend and got to see us at our best. Isn't the Northwest awesome!?! I've always been glad I grew up here.
Wish we could have seen you, but glad you had fun.

Love,
Heather

How fun! I love your pictures--especially the one of Brandon copying the statue. That one made me laugh! Glad you had a fun weekend!!

Go cougars! Listened to the game here, no TV coverage--grr! went to a baptism, birthday party, stake conference and we just ran around like crazy people all day saturday--yours sounds much more fun and relaxing! Three days without my kiddos and time with DH--heaven!

Ok, so you officially suck (take note, some/all of this comment may be dripping with bitter jealousy)! IVARS?! Are you kidding me?! I've been craving Ivars for, like, EVER. And it's too bad I didn't think to tell about the tiny little doughnut cart in the corner of Pike's Place, you would have died and gone to heaven, although maybe it's a good thing because it would have been all of your alotted calories for, like, the year, their so darn good. You didn't happen to go into the magic store downstairs at Pikes, did you? I wouldn't think so, it sort of tucked away and, well, you are adults, but that was my favorite place to go as a kid. And yes, isn't Udubs stadium AWESOME? I used to love kyacking around there. Sigh... I'm, just so jealous right now it's hard to breathe.... Wayne and I have a 5 year plan to move back to Seattle, so I guess we'll see you there, huh?

hey :) i have a friend there in provo that wants to put her daughter in piano. I BRAGGED...get that...BAAAHHHRRRAGGED you up :) she knows that you are the best around. How do I have her get ahold of you?

We listened to the BYU game. That was great! It would have been a great game to be at. Glad you had a fun weekend.

I missed you.

And the kids and Stanton and I drove to Jackson Hole to cheer our BIL across the finish line of the LOTOJA bike race...that's Logan to Jackson. As in 206 miles. Then we turned around and drove home. It was a lot of time in the car, but a ton of fun.

And I am really wanting a just me & husband vacation (+ baby, of course....)

Stayed in bed. Bles my nose a lot. Whined. You didn't miss much. Oh, but I also reread Twilight and New Moon. :-)

Jamie watched the game and said it was incredible. SOOOO exciting you were there!

Susan-
I was impressed with the classiness of the Husky fans. They weren't rude and abrasive (much) as say...Wyoming or Ute fans. UNLV fans can be rude, too. Oh! And I wanted to tell you that I took that Nirvana photo because it made me think of you. I should have mentioned that in the post!

MotWB-
I know. Her hair was just so amazing, I had to show it to you. Twice. ;)

Leslie-
Moping. Ha! Moping, mopping, it's all the same. :)

Amanda-
Thanks! And yes, Go Cougars!

Heather-
Aw, man! You were right there? Not fair, not fair. I wish we could have seen you guys, too. I loved it there so much! Maybe we'll come visit again next year and bring the kids.

Flip Flop-
I totally made him copy the statue, but then he said "wait, I didn't do it right. Take another one" and that's the one I posted. :)

Cardalls-
Busy is good, though! I'm sorry you couldn't see the game. It was pretty intense!

Lizzie-
Oh, girl, you can't be jealous! You LIVED there. I should be the jealous one! I love, love, love the Seattle area and Ivar's was exactly how you describe. FABULOUS. :)

Madsens-
Done. :)

Richelle-
Thank you! It was a great game, wasn't it?

Julie-
I missed you, too. Oh --wait. Still do. ;) Take your vacation. You deserve one!

Amber-
I'm so sorry about your sinus infection. Yuck. But hey, some Vampire lovin' at the same time? Not bad, not bad. :) It was an incredible game and I was so glad we went!

Isn't Seattle great? When we first visited I decided I had to live there. Than we did and then I could not wait to leave...
I have a wandering spirit. Don't like being in the same place for too long...
Glad you had such a fun weekend!
