Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand We're Back!

Did you miss me?

I'll be honest with you, dear reader. I did miss you. But not in the way you might think. I missed you because I love your comments and I love your blog. I love hearing about the things you have to say and I love seeing life through the eyes of another. You know, all that friendship crap I love to roll around in when I get sappy. But do you know what I didn't miss?
All the hours I spend blogging.

Did not miss it. Not one bit.

Of course, that could be because I was too busy living life, hanging with family and friends, eating embarrassing amounts of delicious food, and hiking on some of the most beautiful trails in the world --
Or maybe it was because I traveled 123 miles the first day and 118 miles the second day. After spending time in Idaho, I traveled 567 miles to Canada. Spent some more time hanging around that Lethbridge place, and then traveled 82 miles to Waterton. Then it was back to Lethbridge (82 miles) and back to Idaho (567 miles) and back to Provo (229 miles). Of course, that's not counting the traveling from Mtn. View to Waterton (and back and forth a bazillion times), or driving within Waterton, nor the driving around Lethbridge, or the side trip to Rexburg from Blackfoot to go to the Temple.
But I've calculated that the children and I spent approximately 35 hours in the car, and traveled roughly 2,000 miles (give or take a hundred).

Lots of reasons for not thinking about blogging. Or missing it.

However, I did think about you. A lot, actually!

First of all, I got to see Julie and Mother of the Wild Boys (I'll post about that tomorrow). Then I thought about Fluffychicky on my way to Rexburg. I thought about Bythelbs the day I left for Canada, knowing she was traveling to "the land of Chuck" at the same time. I waved at Magrath, Alberta and thought about Amanda (she has family from Magrath), and when I knew Brandon's plane had landed in Calgary, my thoughts flew to Amber, who was raised in that awesome city. While I was in Waterton, I thought about my friend Ann, who would adore the place, and while shopping in Waterton Village, I totally bought a spoon for my friend Michele. Whenever I saw pictures of my violinist cousin at Grandma's house, I immediately thought about Leslie, because her hubby plays himself a mean violin, too. And then I felt awful because I missed Summer's bloggy birthday bash (*sniff), but I was happy I read Rochelle's posts about Eastern Canada before I left. There were many others --too many to list. So obviously, I won't list them. But you get the idea! I honestly thought about you. I did!

But holy cow, I just checked my google reader, and I have 354 blog posts to read. Dang, people! What's with the having a life and going on without Cheryl around?! I just don't get it. I'd assumed, you know, that your life would have come to grinding halt, what with me on vacation and such. Oh, well. I guess I'll forgive you.

So, I have a lot to report! In fact, I have so much to report, that I'm going to have to condense it into Day posts (Day One, Day Two, etc.). This is mostly for the journal-ing part of my blog, and not really for you. Okay, okay! It's totally for you. Isn't it always? (heehee)
I'll try to post one to three posts a day so I can get all the info in as fast as possible. That way, if you are not wanting to know about my amazing travels and adventures, you don't have to wait forever for the good blogging to start. You know, the stuff you seem to love so much --posts about my period, my depression, my opinions on pop culture and all things Jane Austen. Still not sure why it floats your boat, but whatever works!

Okay, I'm off to unpack! Stay tuned for tomorrow. There's gonna be pictures!

Glad you had a super fun trip. Yes, Canada was gorg.

And just for the menstrual record, I had my period on my Anne trip. Even though it wasn't scheduled. I'm cursed. I told you I have a period on every trip. (Just, since you brought up Canada and periods...)

Yay! I am totally glad you are back. Why?
1. I am totally excited that you got me a spoon and that we will have to get together and hang out so I can get said spoon. My children will be THRILLED!
2. I have totally missed your blogging, even if you didn't. Your blog is the first thing I read every morning after I get the kids to the table for breakfast.
So yay, for me and I will see/ talk to you soon! :)
