Do I Look Like a Man to You? and Six Random Things About Me

So, madhousewife and bythelbs did themselves a celebrity look-alike chart thinga-ma-jing this week. My sister did some a while ago, and even Susan has one (is that okay I shared this, Susan? I can take it down if you want...). And since I'm all about copying people and jumping on bandwagons, I thought I'd give it a shot.

Since when did I look like Charles Bronson!? Or Camilla Parker Bowles?!!? I actually don't mind looking like Heath Ledger, Gary Cooper, or Nicholas Brendan, because they are very good-looking men. Still, they are just that --MEN. Do I look like a man to you?? (Of course, I could have used a better picture...)
My SIL told me a while back that she thought I looked like Jennifer Connelly, so I was excited to see her listed. Julie Andrews and Gillian Anderson? Beautiful women, so I'll take it. Still, it was kind of bizarre. This whole thing is kind of messed up. Doesn't mean it's not fun, though!

Jill tagged me for this meme: Six Random Things About Me
  1. I broke my nose in front of Brandon back when we were engaged. I literally ran into a bar.
  2. I hate to snow ski, water ski, and ice skate. I enjoy watching other people do these things, but I'm just a lousy athlete and have no balance.
  3. Before I met my husband I had never: flown on an airplane, eaten sushi, snorkeled, gone snow skiing, eaten Thai food, tried tamales, or hiked for fun.
  4. I don't do any kind of Lamaze or hypnobirthing, and had three children without the benefit of the epidural (I say "benefit" because I got the epidural with #2, but it didn't kick in until after she was born). And honestly? I'm okay with that.
  5. All of my family lines (all four sets of great-grandparents) can be traced along one route backwards: Southern Alberta to Utah to Nauvoo to England/Denmark/Scotland/Sweden.
  6. As hard as my children have tried to change this, I'm still a morning person. When I make myself get up and exercise (like I am now!), I am soooooo much happier. 6:30AM in the summertime is honest-to-goodness the best time of day. But only if it's spent outside, during the end of the sunrise, in solitude (or with my walking buddy). Sigh...

I tag Everyone. Come on, you know you want to do it!

I'm going to go with the Jennifer Connelly thing because you guys are both looking in the same direction.

I think Charles Bronson is more flattering than Tommy Lee (who came up on mine at like 60-something %). At least Mr. Bronson is a cool bad#@$. Tommy Lee is just an #@$.

I am utterly convinced that this generates celebrities who are posed in a similar manner. And I think it's funny that men happen to make that "I'm thinking hard about this" pose more than women! You are so totally NOT the Queen of England (I think that's the most unflattering one of all! She's just so dowdy.) I am laughing out loud as I think about this, so thanks! I won't even go there (because the only picture I have of myself is either pregnant or a self-portrait -- yikes!)

I can't believe all of your family lines are so identical. Very cool. And a little weird -- there was no in-marrying, right?

Ooh, and I have always really wanted to look like Julie Andrews -- so good job!

Well, it's probably more like I have always wanted to sound like her, but looking like her is a step in the right direction. Way to go.

Thanks for playing. Why didn't I think of that no epidural thing, it's random. Love the comparisons, you so don't look like a man!

Julie-
Just so you know, Camilla Parker Bowles will NEVER be the Queen of England. I don't think. Can she? I thought it was reserved for...well...wait. I guess she could. Oh, man! That stinks.

Thanks for thinking I don't look like a man, you guys. I'm too into my femininity to handle it... :)

Oh, and Julie, my parents discovered they are 13th cousins. :)

Bythelbs-
Very true. Very true (about the Tommy Lee versus Bronson thing. Oh, and me looking like Jennifer Connelly. Admit it. I'm just that pretty! :) ).

I love the random things, especially the part about your coveted Canuckian heritage.

Something random about me that I was thinking about the other day: due to my pregnancies and my all-night pee vigils, I still rarely turn on the light to go to the bathroom.

How's THAT for random? :-)

I definitely agree that you look like Jennifer Connelly, but not a man! I think the computer just reads the composition of whatever photograph you put in and match it... I love mornings too and getting exercise then, especially in the summer when it's light so early. I can't when I'm pregnant and it kills me! I literally want to scratch my eyeballs out of my head every morning when I can't be on a walk with my kids by 7:30! Counting down to next summer already...

No, you don't look like a man. And I NEED to hear the whole story of the nose breaking incident!!

I did your 6 random things. :) And no, you don't look like a man. I'm going with Jennifer Connely. :)

Those celebrity things are weird. None of the women that I have seen look like men but they all have men listed. Weird.

No, Camilla will never been queen. She might be the king's wife, but she wont be queen.

What part of Utah did they go to? My grandma came from England/Switzerland, settled in Utah, and then settled in So. AB too.

6:30 in the summertime is good ONCE in a while.

I am trying so hard to be a morning person. One of these days it'll happen.
OK...here is my question: if you look like these people then how come none of them look alike at all? But Julie Andrews! I'd be flattered to be told I looked like her.
I think I may go play with this now! :-)

yeah, that is bizarre. I definitely see jennifer connelly, the other people not so much. And you definitely don't look mannish.

No. You don't look like a man. If it makes you feel better, we did it a while ago and a few men showed up on mine too, but I can't remember who they were.

Bwhahahahahah! Sorry, but that was too funny.
For what it is worth, I'd rather look like Charles Bronson than Camilla any day. :) Better that than say, a chicken. :)

I'm somewhat disappointed that I didn't get any men in my circle this time. Seriously, though, Charles Bronson? That's crazy. Crazy awesome!

You do look like Jennifer Connelly.

I was watching X files with Jared yesterday and I told him about who came up on myheritage.com for you. He asked if you got Jennifer Garner. I forgot, but you totally look like her too.

Cheryl said...

tam-
Ah! Jennifer Garner is pretty, too (her cheek bones are kind of too hollow, but that's okay), so tell Jared Thank You! You guys make me feel so good about myself. :)
