Total Weight Loss:
Brandon: 30 pounds
Me: 23.6 pounds
If you notice, Brandon gained .8. I tell him it's because he's down to the wire and the last few pounds he needs to shed won't come off without a fight. Patience, patience --to us both!
In other news, it is raining buckets here. I actually like it! I love rain; I love how it smells, how it cleanses, how it feels --Rain, to me, is just nature's shower, and sometimes I just like to stand in it.
In more other news, I still haven't heard from the publisher. They said it could take up to 8 weeks before I get a response --and that's actually pretty generous. Most publishing companies will make an author wait for 12 weeks. I cannot believe how nervous I am! I have told myself repeatedly that I'll probably get rejected and I shouldn't get my hopes up, but I can't help but wonder what they think of my ideas. What if they tell me it's crap? What if they love it?! I just HATE, HATE, HATE the waiting process (as most of you know). ~sigh~
Hey, does anybody out there have any good potty training tips for boys? I'm in a losing battle here!!

Have you tried the cheerios in the toilet and letting him aim? I learned that in a toddler class i had here at USU :)
Good job on the weight loss. And I am sure that the last few wont come off with out a fight, just like the first few! =)
As for potty training boys....good luck! When I was potty-training T is was such a battle. I found that if I let him run around with out a diaper or underwear for awhile (and put him on the potty regularly) it helped. It is stressful that way though. I also read that you should train boys to sit to pee so that they will sit to poop. That worked for us. Of course, in the next few months we'll be going through this again and I will be asking for your advice!
No advice for boys...tackling my own little girl right now. Hope the publishers don't take TOO long!
WOWOWOWOWOWOW! You are my weight-loss inspiration!!!
So did you finish writing a book already?! Or did you just send in ideas hoping to get a book deal and then you will write it? How does that all work?
Only published authors or reputable agents can send in ideas for books. The rest of us first-timer amateurs have to have written something. :) :)
Yes, I have written 6 books. 5 of them are in a series (pictures books) and one is by itself. So I sent in two stories --the independent one and one of the series (and to offer the other 4 in the series if they are interested).
Congrats on your weight loss. I keep meaning to do something about my extra weight. I almost, almost have decided to so something about it. ;) You're inspiring.
