Okay, stop asking! I'm still pregnant, all right?

People keep asking me those dumb and annoying questions. "So, when is the baby coming? Are you uncomfortable? What's going on? Wow, you look big! Aren't you due yet?" As if I really need their comments, you know?

I was supposed to be induced today.

Yeah, whatever.

So, I got my membranes "stripped" this morning and will do it again tomorrow morning. Hopefully I'll get past a 6 on the Bishop test. I'm not "induce-able" until I'm at least a 2 or 3 dilated and 75% effaced (an 8 or 9 on the test). Right now I'm at 1 1/2 and 50%.

This sucks. You would think it would get easier to wait the fourth time around, wouldn't you? Well, you would be WRONG. So very, very wrong...

I was just thinking about you this morning and asking that annoying question in my head. Glad I didn't call!

Stripping totally worked for me with both babies. Hopefully it works for you too!

When I got stripped with #1, my water broke the next day. However, it was the day before my due date.

With #2 my membranes were stripped FOUR times, and then they finally induced me 10 days late...~sigh~

So, I'm hoping that this kid will be more like the first, rather than the second! :)

at first i thought you meant tearing your clothes off stripping.

I don't see how waiting those last few days could get easy- on baby one or 12! I HATE the last few day/weeks of waiting. :) Don't you love the comments people start to make at the end? My SIL just had her baby and the couple of weeks before my other SIL kept commenting on how miserable she looked- to me- I don't know if she said it to her. I didn't think she looked that bad. As if we don't FEEL SO READY! We don't need people telling us we LOOK SO READY! :)

Oh, bren --so funny! I went into the office this morning and announced to the girls behind the counter "I'm here to be stripped!" and there was this young couple sitting there --the girl was very obviously having her first (and looked fabulous; make-up was flawless, hair was perfect, etc. and I was in my pajamas and didn't have time to shower) and the husband looked at me like "WHAT?!?!" It was hilarious. :)

kanga- oh, for sure! I hate being told I "look ready". Ummm...duh! It's not like I never see myself or anything...

Happy day for you all!! Congratulations! I hope all is well with you and your new little one. Thanks to your DH for keeping us updated. :) Can't wait to see pictures.

DH used his name! So I deleted his comment; here's the info again sans #4's name. :)

This is Cheryl's DH... she gave birth tonight at 7:45 PM after coming in at 11:00 AM and getting induced. #4 weighs in at 8 lbs, 5 ozs and measures 21 1/2 inches long. He has a full head of hair, and I'm sure Cheryl will post some pictures tomorrow. The hospital has wireless internet in the room. How cool is that!? :)
