Okay, give me good ideas for a 10 year class reunion that even YOU would like to attend. And I'm serious! I want ideas here, people. I'm heading up the committee that's planning my 10 year this summer...
To get you started, here are the demographics:
Small Idaho town, class size about 250, about 60% non-drinking, 40% drinking, many married parents --but lots of singles, too.

I don't have any ideas for your class reunion, but I wanted to tell you I've had a chance to read through your blog after you commented a few times at Conversation. I've enjoyed reading it. I hope things continue to go well with your pregnancy- I'm sure they will. But it's always hard after a miscarriage.

hey, ok. I'm coming to the reunion and since I just got back from Ryan's 10 year, which was awesome...a few ideas for you. Friday night they had a coctail night...pretty much something for everyone to get dressed up and look their best and remenis (can't think how to spell that) and watch the class video. They had hor derves (ouch, really bad tonight) and punch and water --those who wanted bought drinks from the bar (it was at the double tree in in Boise but we could do it...it there a meeting room at the best western or something like that? Fun night with just adults. The next day at noon every one came with families...tons of kids!...and we all let our hair down and played at the park. Lunch for everyone was included in the price and they had premade subs, snack bags of chips, rice crispies, go gurts, smuckers crustables, water, pop, and fruit. All so handy and perfect for little kids because you could just grab and go sit down and didn't have to worry about getting individual portions from big dishes. So cool. THey also had blow up ball pit and a bigger blow up for adults too. That evening was a Hawaian night for the adults again...casual. They had a Hawaiian band with hula dancers for entertainment and a catered Hawaiian buffet with shredded pork, chicken, fruit salad, and rolls. Here's the kicker. All that for $40 per person. Oh yea, how the heck are you doing preschool, teaching lessons and being pregnant with three of your own? Crazy woman!

Thank you, thank you!! That really helps. HOW THE HECK WAS IT ONLY $40 PER PERSON!?!??! I'm very serious. I need to know. Because we have $0 in our fund. None. We don't even have one. And here's the dumbest part --NONE of the class officers want to help plan this thing. So that's why I'm going to try and pick it up and make it the best in the whole world. Thank you again!!
i know they had some serious connections around town and we had to have payment in at least one month in advance of the date so they knew how many people. some only came for the picnic and paid that way and most of those were locals. those who had to travel went to everything. connections, connections. work the community like the keslers, cooks, etc and see if you can't get some discounts or donations would be my suggestion.
Ahhh. Good suggestion. I'll remember that...
