I lost 1.6 pounds today! I was really concerned because of the camp out, but boo-yah! I lost!
I'm teaching Sunday School this Sunday on Alma 32-35. Much like Mosiah 1-5 or Alma 5, these chapters are simply brimming --brimming! --with awesomeness. So much joyful doctrine; I will not get through it all in class, this is for certain. One of my favorite verses (Alma 32:42):
And because of your diligence and your faith and your patience with the word in nourishing it, that it may take root in you, behold, by and by ye shall pluck the fruit thereof, which is most precious, which is sweet above all that is sweet, and which is white above all that is white, yea, and pure above all that is pure; and ye shall feast upon this fruit, even until ye are filled, that ye hunger not, neither shall ye thirst.
My aunt's grandmother died this morning. (Technically it is Brandon's mom's brother's wife's mom. Got it?) Even though I had only met her once (just a few months ago), she seemed like a kind woman. It's never easy to lose a parent or grandparent, no matter how "old" or "ready" they were/seemed to be. My prayers and love go out to my cousins and especially my aunt.
The Colorado shooting at the Batman movie has me just devastated. No, we don't live in Colorado, but my husband and his sister (and her boyfriend and the boyfriend's brother) were together in a movie theater last night watching the new Batman movie. What if the shooter had lived in Utah? It just got me thinking and that thinking made me shudder quite a bit. My prayers go out to the victim's families and friends. What a horrible tragedy! It's just so awful --why do these types of shootings keep happening!?
It's not even August and I'm already thinking about back to school stuff --piano lessons, clothing, teachers, supplies, schedules, chores, etc. I'm not quite sick of our kids --yet --so at least that's good. Ask me again tomorrow, though.
SCHEDULE FOR ME:
Mon/Wed/Fri: Couch to 5K
Tues/Thurs: Pilates/30 Day Shred/Bodyfate (one of 'em).
That's the goal. I start Monday. Wish me luck!
