#4's new obsession is Tom and Jerry. It used to be Phineas and Ferb. Personally, I prefer Phineas and Ferb.

St. Patrick's Day came and went --we celebrated by eating green pancakes. They were vegan, too, so they were double-green! Ha!

I saw Persuasion at BYU over the weekend and I was very impressed with the stage adaptation! They added a new twist to it, inserting flashbacks that aren't in the book, but they were an appropriate and a very nice addition. The letter-writing scene was fantastic! Loved it!

Brandon got me a Kindle. I'm liking it! I downloaded all of Jane Austen's novels, along with three by the Bronte sisters. The scriptures are on there, as well as some kids' books I can read to the kidlets.

Asthma means head colds end up in the lungs. The flu ends up in the lungs. A chest cold starts and ends in the lungs. I've had a head cold this weekend, so guess where it is now?

On Saturday, my kids sold crystals for money. These "crystals" were whitish/clearish rocks they found in our backyard. They had been preparing all week long to sell them, wanting to earn money for whatever reason. It was a very cold and windy day, but they had some friends helping them, and they began to have great success! The best part was when they told me they had decided, all on their own, to give the money to help Japan. Once they started telling people that was why they were selling the crystals, the money started piling in! They earned exactly $51, and they gave it all to help Japan (we were going to give it to the Red Cross, but decided to give it to the Church's Humanitarian Fund; specifically for Japan).
I was so proud of them!

The head cold is making my brain crazy. I keep forgetting words --my vocabulary has been reduced to drivel. I also can't recall things. I know I need to get onions and dishwasher detergent at the store today, but I can't remember what else. Maybe I should start keeping a list.
I'm also more tired. I'm okay with that, though, because I'm always "more tired."

responded back to your comment on the carseat thread. I am not one of those whose kids are running amuck inside the car. I believe in carseats/seat belts! Anyway...just go backand read my response :)
I want a kindle..however I really like the feelof a book in my hands and I get a headache with too much screen time. And I <3 phineas and ferb! So funny!
Oh, but that's what's so cool about a kindle! It's not a computer screen. It actually looks just like a book. There's no back-light; it's hard to explain. Once you see it, you'll know what I mean. You think the thing is off because of how the screen looks.
I was trying to remember to write an email to you and Stephanie telling you how many church books (most a little older) are available super cheap on kindle, too. You lucky ducks. :)
My 5-year-old LOVES Tom and Jerry too. We noticed that when he watched it he got aggressive so we've had to cut him off. I'd rather hear Phineas and Ferb anyway. :)
Tom and Jerry is awesome. Unless it's that crazy Tom and Jerry movie where they talk. That was totally bogus.
