Irony, man. Gotta love it.

I don't think the resident extreme feminist in our ward likes me much anymore. I kind of called her out yesterday in Relief Society. Sort of. I mean, I didn't get all rude, and I actually agreed with one of her points, but I get tired of listening to her explain to the rest of us ignoramuses how history, the gospel, and Hugh Nibley work.
Maybe I just need to chill out. I mean, I actually adore this woman. She's sophisticated, brilliant, and kind. But criticism of the Church and their Leaders riles me up. Especially if the criticism is IN church.
Sigh.

I have so much to do before we leave for China this week. So much! And yet, I'm on the computer. What am I thinking?! I better go.
But before I do, answer me these questions:
1. What is your favorite TV show?
2. What is your favorite novel of all time?
3. If you were in China and they offered you dog or fish lips, which one would you eat?

My favorite TV show of all time is probably Everybody loves Raymond, but right now I really like what I've seen of Modern Family (hilarious!) and Glee (So fun). I like the NCIS shows too. And Burn Notice. Hm. Maybe I watch too much tv?
Oh, I got distracted.
My favorite novel is Good Night, Mr. Tom by Michelle Magorian. It's a YA book. Love it.
I would pretend to faint before I ate either of those things. If I went to China I would have to take a suitcase full of food.
Have such a good trip! And good luck getting everything ready.
Today my favorite TV show is Veronica Mars but overall... Firefly? Bones? House? Friends? Who can answer that?
And in the spirit of my indecision I'm not even going to consider the novel question.
But I'd like to say that I'd eat whatever I could. I love the idea of new and different foods. (But I'm afraid that sometimes the gag reflex gets in the way.)
TV: So many I love. The Middle, SYTYCD, and Biggest Loser.
Novel: War and Peace, The Year of Magical Thinking, or The Good Earth.
Food: Both, simply to say that I did.
Have a great time in China!
I'd pick dog, definitely. It might taste like some meat I'm familiar with. I can't see myself voluntarily eating anything from a fish that's not fish meat. *shudder*
I would fast...for days ;)
good for you calling out the feminist....no need for that in church ever or making people feel inferior!
1. Sophie's choice here, man.
2. Pride & Prejudice--unoriginal, but true.
3. Nothing--starvation first. Well, if you put a gun to my head...oh, just pull the trigger.
WV: trama--What I'm feeling after having to consider #3.
I'd usually say Grey's Anatomy, but I recently started watching Ally McBeal on reelz and I have to say that hello! RDjr, plus it's funny? I love it and I don't remember loving it (or really even watching it at all) when it was new.
The Chosen, Les Mis, and The Pushcart War.
No.
Favorite show: NCIS and Bones.
Favorite novel: Jane Eyre
Food choice: Um, neither. I would rather starve that eat either of those items. Starve, I say.
Sounds like I missed a fun RS yesterday...We had so many farewells to go to (darn it!) I bet I know who you're talking about and good for you. Not in a mean or bad way of course...but I feel just like you, but never want to say anything out of fear of things getting worse... LOL :)
TV show: ER...oh how I miss it!!!!
Novel: Too many to name!
Food:..well, I ate horse in Italy, so I suppose I would do either, just wouldn't chew and would make sure to have a big glass of water nearby..
Enjoy your trip!!!
My favorite TV show would have to be Friends BUT I am really into How I Met Your Mother and The Big Bang Theory (all hilarious!) right now. My favorite book?! You want me to choose one? Um... well I love Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings (of course) but I really love non-fiction like the Hot Zone (about the outbreak of the ebola virus) and books that you have to really think about like The Mismeasure of Man.
When it comes to food I will try anything once so bring on the dog and fish lips!
