I love that the old Vet guy's song has already gone viral. He was so cool! I almost cried during the TN girl's story, although I didn't love her voice. My favorite voice of the day was the Police officer's!

This is for my friend (who will know who she is):
For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father.
(Mosiah 3:19)

I read this the other day and thought it fit my situation perfectly. Infliction, you know? Maybe it will help you with yours. Maybe not. Maybe. Love you!

Tomorrow is the day Brandon and I will celebrate 11 years of wedded bliss. To mark the occasion, I've decided to list 11 things I love about our marriage:
1. It's to the point that we can finish each other's sentences and thoughts. For example, we will have a conversation about something and two days later I'll pull some random sentences out of the air and he will know exactly what I'm referring to.
2. He loves our children as much as I love them and he's really good about showing it.
3. We both feel the same way about Church, movies, food (almost), music, and weather.
4. We don't always agree on politics. But I love that!
5. We laugh a lot together. Humor (as President Hinckley once said) is the lubrication for a good marriage. I'm grateful we have it!
6. No matter how many times we change jobs, move, go back to school (okay, that's only happened once so far), or choose a different path for our future, Brandon will always take care of us. I know I can rely on him and it has lifted many-a-burden from my heart.
7. He finds me beautiful. Still. No matter my weight, or if I've showered, or if I've bleached my moustache for the month (haha!) --he thinks I'm hot stuff.
8. I married the best-looking man on the planet, myself.
9. No matter how many times we argue, fight, or disagree, we are able to apologize and forgive. Brandon has got to be the most forgiving person I've ever met; he deals with my Depression so well, and he puts up with my awful breakdowns. I'm grateful he understands me enough to know that I don't mean the awful things I say sometimes, but that it's the garbage I'm dealing with (or not dealing with, eh?). He's been by my side through all of it, and I know he'll stay there, too. It's pretty awesome.
10. He'll burst into a silly song at random times just like I do.
11. He can't remember much about the past (our dating, engagement, early marriage), and even though I can, I'm still in awe at the depth and growth of our relationship and love for each other. Marriage isn't easy, nor are we anywhere near perfect, but I can see now why all those old people say "I love him more now than I ever did then." Because I do.

very sweet post! how awesome that you know he will always take care of you and that you laugh a lot!
Happy Anniversary!
Would it be wrong to tell you that seeing "lubrication" and "marriage" in the same sentence was kind of disturbing for me?
Love you too!
Happy anniversary!
Would it be wrong for me to say that I thought the same thing Bythelbs just said, only I thought I couldn't possibly type it out loud, except that I essentially just did? Yeah, I thought so, too.
May you have many more happy years together. (That's many more years that are happy, not necessarily more-happy, i.e. happier, years--although you are welcome to have those, too.)
Aaw, Happy Anniversary you Happy/Crazy couple!
Have a wonderful day! Anniversary's are special! Gio and I will be married 20 yrs on January 20th and I feel a lot of the same things that you do!
