A mother's attempt to blog her way out of stress and chaos by sharing the joy as well as the sorrow...

There's no way to say this without offending people I love and admire. So, I won't say it --I'll let the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints say it. They say it best, anyway. Here's the link.
I caught that the other day and I totally agree. Could not have said it better myself. I have a sick relationship over at the FMH site and this whole rhetoric is driving me nuts. I know it is not the end, but there are a few facts that I think are important. 1. It was not the LDS church that funded the proposition, but its members. True, they asked them to, but people had the freedom to choose. 2. 52% of voters voted YES. Mormons only make up 2% of CA population. Not everyone was Mormon (or maybe even religious) who voted yes. 3. 6 out of 8 black voters voted Yes on Prop 8 and for Obama, which means it was not just an LDS/Republican issue.
There is an elephant in the room that people are talking about, namely there are a lot of people that do not agree with this lifestyle and they are not right wing, religious bigots.
Oh, sorry. Too much FMH for my own sanity. Sorry to use your blog for a rant.
never a true aggie- No worries! I agree with you. What saddens me the most is the lying. Your statistics are correct, and I wish people would look at the facts and instead of trying to find someone to blame.
