No Warning
I just read this in a book: "The course of my life had just changed, with no warning and no pause." Tell me, dear reader, has this ever happened to you? For good or ill? Tell me about it.
Nobody? Maybe I'll start. Life changed like that for my awesome SIL when her husband unexpectedly killed himself. Life changed like that for my dear friend when her hubby was laid off and within 2 weeks they moved across the country. It happened to me when, on the last day of finals, as I was doing cleaning checks in my dorm, waiting for my dad to pick me up and drive me back home to Idaho, I received word that I actually HAD gotten the summer job on campus as a CA and had to start in 3 weeks.
My life changed when my father died in an accident a month before i graduated highschool. I still feel a loss when i see happy kids with their grandpas! Luckily i got married to a wonderful man that has a great father.
Like when my husband came home from a business trip last year and said he wanted a divorce? That was unexpected. On a more positive note, I got a fabulous, unexpected full-time job that started last week. That was awesome.

My life changed when my blood pressure spiked to 200/110 and they rushed me in for an emergency c-section 8 weeks early.

It absolutely has. I started writing about it here:

Can you believe with 5 or so installments I have yet to finish it. Just writing about it, still takes a lot of mental preparation.
