Jolene (and david), welcome and thank you for sharing.

I think being a motivational speaker would be awesome --I've actually thought about doing that myself. Not sure if it's because I like to motivate people or if I like to hear myself talk, though...hmmm...

David-
Whenever I think of a small bookstore, flashes of England pop into my head (you can thank "84 Charing Cross Road" and "Notting Hill" for that). And I have no doubt the Rolling Stones will live for a very long time. :)Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10218614720786379961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20526785.post-4706907269204894542008-01-18T18:49:00.000-07:002008-01-18T18:49:00.000-07:00My dreams include (in no particular order)...1. Having Mick Jagger sing "You Can't Always Get What You Want" at my funeral (they'll still be alive in 40 years, you wait and see).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20526785.post-15704032212380029522008-01-18T15:48:00.000-07:002008-01-18T15:48:00.000-07:00I am a lurker on your blog... But I had to comment because we just read Eat Cake in our book club too and really made me think about things that I love (besides cake) and the I have never tried to do...

Amazing Race being one of them. My girlfriend and I watch it every Monday morning together (TIVO) and figure out who would do what challenge etc... I love it.

It might be weird but I have secretly always wanted to be a motivational speaker.Jolenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17023445148371673154noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20526785.post-91326747566502837252008-01-18T13:04:00.000-07:002008-01-18T13:04:00.000-07:00amanda-oh, man. Okay, not the nursing part, because that's cool you love it, but I have no patients for it. Get it? Hahaha..ha...ha. Anyway, bad puns aside, I would LOVE to do the Amazing Race. My only excuse is my children, but man, I wish I would have the guts to just try out.

bren-
I think you're funny. And random. You could be a stand-up comedian that laughs about the random. Like Seinfeld, only more...obscure. I'd pay to see you!

summer-
I think you have an entire blog that would scream differently. :)Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10218614720786379961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20526785.post-26844811919775025502008-01-18T12:36:00.000-07:002008-01-18T12:36:00.000-07:00I dream of getting published. When do they have tryouts again?

It's not a secret, but I want to go on the Amazing Race SO BAD! I think I wrote a whole post about this early in my archives. The theme music makes me tear up every time I hear it. I don't even care if I win, but I would be crushed to lose only because it would mean I got to see fewer places. Coming in third would be perfectly awesome to me. I'm going to run it with my sister. We would totally rock! As soon as we find someone to watch our kids for 40 days we are there. Our casting angle is she's the super fit Type-A marathon winning athlete and I am the happy go lucky plump stay at home mom and we'll act like we aren't sure I'll be able to keep up (even though I can run circles around the skinny girls) so they'll see conflict and potential killer fatigue meltdowns and we'll get IN!

Also, it's no secret but I want to be a nurse when I grow up. Giddy about it, I'm kind of creepy stalker like when I meet other nurses, all up in their face with "That's what I want to do someday!" I wish I knew about this inner passion for nursing back in college, except I love that I am going to go into it after all the years of anticipating and waiting.

I even thought about starting classes now that Quincy is in preschool, but the very day I had my appointment with the admissions person Quincy threw up and I had to stay home and I decided 4 hours of preschool might not be the free time I think I need to pursue a second career. But soon!!

And I want to see Iceland. Whew! That's all.Kellyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00132575568971360451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20526785.post-5862491216801133182008-01-18T09:14:00.000-07:002008-01-18T09:14:00.000-07:00Great story about Mitt. I would love to work for a scrapbook magazine or teach classes or something.

Funny you should talk about this. One thing I have missed from Utah is my volleyball group, so I looked for a place around here to play and I found a group that I would have to try out for but I was too chicken. I am kicking myself for that now. Wish I would have!Amanda Dhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04662814069840360787noreply@blogger.com
