When my daughter doesn't want to wear her coat, I don't make her because I am not willing to argue over something so small. If she is cold, oh well. Of course, there are times that I bring the coat along in case she changes her mind (as 4-year-olds are apt to do!)Scrapbooks by Amandahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17256299499988999974noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20526785.post-83557174086283836482007-12-18T13:10:00.000-07:002007-12-18T13:10:00.000-07:00I get similar comments about shoes and socks all t...I get similar comments about shoes and socks all the time. Well, it's been cold as late, but she wears a coat, so I figured allowing her a little skort-wearing (yes, I said "skOrt") wouldn't hurt. Well, one of the teachers nicely said to me, last week "#2 is always taking her coat off --could you maybe make sure she wears pants and a long shirt to school, etc.?" I was cool with that. Now I had some teachers backing me up on what I had been trying to tell her for weeks. Anyway, so, I usually don't wear a coat myself --short sleeves in 52 degree weather? Why not? This is California, baby! So, I will run in and sign #2 into preschool without my own coat. Well, this morning it was raining, so I threw a jacket on. As I walked #2 into the classroom, one of the teachers (who incidentally was not the aforementioned teacher) said "Wow! Look! You're all dressed today!" laughing. I said something about being used to snow and made my exit.

She probably didn't realize how rude or dumb she sounded (mostly dumb) until she said it, so I'm not worried about it. :)Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10218614720786379961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20526785.post-58623892362233563082007-12-17T18:14:00.000-07:002007-12-17T18:14:00.000-07:00Please tell us the back handed compliment.
