You're my hero and I will admit part of my motivation. Your sister wasn't really motivation because she has never had weight to lose...and that's not to say you were fat or anything! :) It's just nice to see success somewhere with someone that has to try a little bit harder ---like me! :) Love you, too.Cherylhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10218614720786379961noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20526785.post-1146177598534326812006-04-27T16:39:00.000-06:002006-04-27T16:39:00.000-06:00This is the first step Cheryl, even if you do not ...This is the first step Cheryl, even if you do not get all of the weight off, just working towards a healthier lifestyle is key. Trust me I know. Pregnancies are no fun for me, ie: all of the weight gain, and I don't mean 12 -18 pounds like some people I know, I mean like adding a 3rd graders weight onto my body. Once the weight is off and the body is toned, you just feel so much better! You're comfortable in your own skin. You don't dred trying on new clothes. But most importantly and best of all you can be active with your children, and teach them by example how to live a healthy lifestyle. I have never quite understood how many LDS women will live the WOW to the 't'. Never imagining drinking, smoking, putting drugs into their body. But yet we're not exercising, and we are putting wasteful things into our bodies. This is all a part of the WOW also. So congrats on the desire to live a heathier life for you and your children! Here are a few of my tips. Cardio, Cardio, Cardio mixed with strenghth training, ie:weights. The fastest way to lose the fat and not the muscle is to do cardio along with weights. You also need to continue to incress your workout routine. Your body will become very comfortable very fast so you need to add 5 minutes here and 3 lbs there. Just listen to your body, and when your routine becomes easy, or the inches are not coming off, time to pump it up. And also have lots and lots of fun, if your workout routine is not fun, what is going to keep you from stopping? So have fun, whether it's walking with a friend, or beating the crap out of a kick boxing bag! Ryan, his mom, and I all did it together because it was just time, and Ryan's mom already had all the cookbooks and points calculators and everything. As long as I followed the points, the weight came off nicely--about 15 pounds before I quit being so good. So good luck and stick with it--you'll be so proud of yourself!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
