Lurkers Unite! (and de-lurk)

My first official de-lurking day is today! (and the rest of the weekend). And it truly is my first; I don't think I've had one in four years.

What does this mean? Well, if you read my blog, then you need to leave a comment. Yes! Even if you read my blog only occasionally or if you read my blog every day, I want to hear from you. It's nice to know who's reading. So, leave a comment with the following:

1. How did you find my blog?
2. How long have you been reading it?
3. What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?

That is all! And if you lurk and don't comment, then you'll be breaking the rules. Which is fine, I guess, because how the heck would I know you read and didn't comment? I don't read my analytics very often, so you'd be safe. But still, I might cry if I see only 3 comments. Maybe not. Who knows. The zoloft is working, so I probably will be fine with it!

  1. I found your blog through a community site asking about moving to the Bay Area, after you had been here a while. I was intrigued especially since our kiddos are pretty much all the same age. Turns out you were a friend of a friend.

I think about a year and a half I have been following you. I don't know time flies.

Lastly Tillamook Chocolate and Peanut Butter Ice Cream!

  2. I'm a regular :) - thanks to google reader.

    1. I don't even know how I found out about it...maybe an email from Arlene with family blogs on it or something...

    2. I've been reading for about 2.5 years. Since Ryan and I have been married.

    3. Chocolate Malted Crunch from Thriftys...I think it's Right Aid now.

  3. I read regularly through google reader (which makes it so easy, but then I'm a bad commenter). I found your blog because it was linked to Julie's blog. I have been reading for more than a year. My favorite ice cream? I haven't met very many that I don't like. It depends on my mood and the season. For example, right now I don't want regular ice cream, I want a Pumpkin Pie Blizzard. And, Dairy Queen is only 3 blocks from my house....I need to run more. I also love Kroger's Oatmeal Cookie, and Ben & Jerry's Pistachio (hard to find).

  4. Found you on Mormon Mommy Wars a few years ago. I've been stalking you ever since. :)

I like Huckleberry Cheesecake icecream from Reed's Dairy. And Blizzards from Dairy Queen. Mmmm...Dairy Queen...

  5. Cheryl-
I am not sure where I found your blog, but it might have been through my aunt Rozla's. I remembered you from high school so I took a peek. I have been "lurking" through google reader for about a year and a half. My favorite ice cream varies with the season as well, but currently it is root beer ice cream (though bubble gum and mint chocolate chip are a close second). I had a root beer obsession when I was pregnant (weird) and unfortunately my baby is 5 months old and I am still loving the stuff. I actually had a dream about the root beer shakes at Rupes-but don't tell anyone!

we don't have internet (or a computer anymore!), so i read exclusively on my phone. it has a handy google reader application, so i'm easily able to read, but it's tough for me to comment much. i feel like you should live next door and be my best friend!

I have been reading for probably 2 years and i think i found you thru Rozla as well...not sure.

  8. Gosh... I don't remember how I found your blog but you've been in my google reader for a LONG time!

Favorite ice cream? Chocolate. Pure, unadulterated chocolate. But that may change as my tastebuds are being weird.

  9. You enailed me about your blog a way long time ago. :) You're in my google reader but I rarely comment, I just like to keep taps on the happpymeetscrazy clan! :) (see, no use of last name) Though I think I still don't know #5's name . . .

Ice cream, mmmm, cookies and cream from the Creamery, of course, preferably on a cone.

  11. I have read from the start. I am your sister. I don't really like ice cream. More of a cookie person.

  12. 1 and 2 - I found you and your blog through the Tales blog when you sent out the SOS for help in moving to California. :)

    3. Ice cream? Mint chocolate chip, at least half of Ben and Jerry's available flavors, chocolate chip cookie dough, I just love ice cream.

  14. I've been reading for almost three years now. I don't have any idea anymore how I found you. But, I can't stay away!

My favorite icecream is mint chocolate chip - if it has good chocolate in it. None of that waxy chocolate for me. Or if I'm at the Tillamook cheese factory then it's Udderly Chocolate all the way. And at DQ, a cookie dough blizzard, please.

Can you tell I've been craving some icecream?

    ReplyDelete
  15. 1. I have no idea how I found you, but glad I did.
    2. I guess it has been a year??
    3. Vanilla. The possible add-ins are endless.

I have enjoyed reading. I rarely comment on any blog I read, sorry. I should change my evil ways.

    2. I think I've been reading for about 2 years now.

    3. It's hard to pick a favorite, but if I have to choose I would have to say Daiquiri Ice from Baskin Robbins which really isn’t even an ice cream at all…and you can't hardly ever even find it anymore... it’s so depressing ;-)

I've been here about a year. Or maybe more??? I don't really remember.

  24. I can't remember how I found your blog...and it's been about 2 years. You know I used to be a very good commenter, but have been trying to figure out balance in my life and have cut down on commenting. Acutally, I have cut way back on which blogs I read but can't not ready yours! :) Favorite ice cream...how can I choose? Dryer's Bear Lake Raspberry, or Girl Scout Cookie Samosa, or a lovely good vanilla bean, or...(see what I mean?)

  25. Hi Cheryl~

I've been dropping in occasionally since our fun temple date and lunch with Shauntae.

    2. Maybe 2 years? When did you move back to Utah? I think it was around then.
    3. I'm not a huge ice cream fan - I like it but I'd much rather go straight for the cake :) One of my favorites is definitely root beer from Rupes (It isn't a trip home without a stop at Rupes!)

  32. I think it was 20 years ago next month (does that make you feel old, it does me!!) that you introduced me around a new school, and you invited me to your blog years ago. A few months ago I decided I would get with it and keep up with my good friends' blogs, so I've been reading just since then. I rarely meet an ice cream I don't like, but my favorite is the Kroger praline pecan from Smiths.

  34. I can't remember how I found your blog, but I've been reading for a while...maybe a year or a little more, I think. I loved hearing all about your pregnancy and such. My first baby was born about a month after #5. I can also relate to a lot of what you've said about depression, which I have dealt with myself (mostly as a consequence of a LOT of anxiety issues). I love your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  35. And I missed the ice cream question... I would say the Creamery's Earnestly Chocolate.

  37. I think I found your blog through comments on either MMW or Segullah. Or maybe just the general atmosphere of the Mormon mommy blogosphere :)

Not sure how long I've been reading. Six months? A year?

Please don't get me thinking about ice cream. I'm pregnant and there's none in my freezer :) I love peanut butter/chocolate or cookies and cream. Last winter I also got addicted to Safeway Gingerbread Cookie; sadly there's no Safeway in Utah. Tillamook also makes a really tasty Marionberry Pie ice cream, but they don't sell it here either :(

    1. I clicked your name over at Nine Moons when I realized I might actually know this "Cheryl."
